Melissa DeRosa, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top aide, resigns

ALBANY, N.Y. — Melissa DeRosa, the highest aide to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, mentioned Sunday evening she was resigning, because the Democratic governor faces a doable impeachment over sexual-harassment fees in addition to a prison investigation.

DeRosa was talked about multiple times in a report issued Tuesday by state Lawyer Normal Letitia James that discovered Cuomo violated state and federal sexual-harassment legal guidelines when he inappropriately hugged, kissed, touched and commented about 11 ladies—most of whom are present or former state workers.
