The Real Reason Elon Musk Told Employees To Return to Work or Leave

Elon Musk Email

There’s been a lot of speculation about the email Elon Musk sent to Tesla employees on Sunday night, in which he said that those who couldn’t return to work or didn’t want to should leave immediately. Some people are speculating that this is just a way to get rid of underperforming employees, but there’s actually a much more logical explanation for why Musk would send out an email like this.

Tesla Cash Crunch

The main reason is that Tesla is facing a serious cash crunch. The company has been burning through cash at an alarming rate, and it needs to start generating revenue as soon as possible. Sending employees back to work is the best way to do that.

Of course, there are other reasons why Musk would want employees to return to work. He’s under a lot of pressure to deliver on his promises, and the sooner Tesla can start producing cars again, the better.

Tough Spot Financially

But the bottom line is that Tesla is in a tough spot financially, and Musk is doing whatever he can to get the company back on track. So if you’re an employee who’s planning on taking some time off, you might want to think twice before doing so. Tesla needs all the help it can get right now.
