Texas Megamansion With a Hidden Waterslide

A marvelous mansion in Southlake, TX, is so big and bountiful, it even caught the eye of Tracy Tutor from Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.”

She’s co-listing the 31,234-square-foot property, built in 2016 and located on the outskirts of Dallas, with Breah Brown. Both are with Douglas Elliman Realty.

“My clients’ experience in construction really leads to the quality of the architecture and the actual build-out for this house,” Tutor says of the homeowners. “Driving up to this home, I knew immediately … I wanted to be a part of the listing.”

But another reason could be that the home is just plain fun.

‘Mind-blowing’ property

Listed for $19,995,000, the eight-bedroom home sits on 3 acres. Symmetry and over-the-top entertainment are prominent elements in this spectacular spread.

The home stands out, even compared with Los Angeles luxury homes, Tutor notes.

“There are a lot of houses in L.A. that you walk into, and you see a wow factor like this. But in terms of the scale and the drive up to it, it is quite mind-blowing,” she explains.

Two guest apartments flank the driveway, and there’s garage space for nine cars.

The top two levels of the house are the main living and dining areas, including a chef’s kitchen and the bedrooms.

“You walk in, and you can see through to the backyard,” Tutor says. “When you’re experiencing a home for the first time, you’re waiting for that moment to feel something. “It almost feels like a hotel experience, because it is really like three pools,” she says. “You’ve got this incredible bridge that they built, and there is a waterfall that comes off either side.”

Best of all, there’s a waterslide tucked away inside one of the poolside towers.

“Aesthetically, it is pleasing, because you climb the tower and go down the slide,” she says. “I think they did a beautiful job making the pool look absolutely spectacular.”

Tutor notes that, while huge, the home is also livable. And with the perfect balance of fun (so much fun) and function, it’s a space adults and kids will love equally.

Tutor, for one, has big plans for when she sells the place.

“I will be going down that slide,” she says.
