FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried will be released on $250 million bail

A federal judge approved a bail package for FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried that includes a $250 million personal recognizance bond secured by his parents’ house in California.

US Magistrate Judge Gabriel Gorenstein said Thursday that the risk that Bankman-Fried would flee was small and said he presented no danger to the public in terms of future financial crimes. The terms of the bail would require him to stay with his parents in California.
