The Debt Counsellors Association of South Africa are a representative body for Debt Counsellors. Headquartered in Gauteng the organisation operates across the whole country with regional branches in different provinces.
For a while there has been a bit of a gap in coverage (and activity) for the association in the Eastern Cape where several members operate. Recently Mr Casper Le Grange who is well known for his work at debt counselling practice DCGsa took up the role of regional representative. Casper is well known for getting things done and members have expressed their excitement that he will be heading things up locally.
With the help of sponsors such as DCCP and Consumer Friend the meeting will be held at Running Waters in Gqeberha on Friday 9 February. The meeting begins at 11am, giving members enough time to travel or local members enough time to get some work done before heading to the meeting.
Members are looking forward to networking and engaging with credit providers like ABSA and FNB as well as Consumer Friend (who represent many smaller credit providers). These meetings provide a great opportunity to gain insights into how the “other half” do things. This can smooth out communication and process challenges later.
