After Tarnished makes their way through Liurnia in Elden Ring, they will arrive at the Grand Lift of Dectus, an elevator mechanism that will grant players access to the Atlus Plateau. However, the lift cannot operate without the Dectus Medallion, which has been separated into two halves and placed in different regions of the Lands Between. Therefore, to activate the Grand Lift of Dectus, Elden Ring fans must locate both sides of the item to advance into the next region of their journey.
Once Tarnished finds one-half of the Dectus Medallion on the map in Elden Ring, the item’s description will reveal the location of the other. Nonetheless, the game doesn’t distinctly hint at where to find either of the sides. Accordingly, players might feel bewildered concerning where to look. Fortunately, both pieces of the medallion are in locations that players will have likely visited or passed by at least once during their exploration through the game’s first two regions, Limgrave and Caelid.

The Ash of War: Bloody Slash can be obtained in this location by defeating the Beast Crest Heater Knight at the top of the ramparts. Right Half
Next, Elden Ring fans must go to Fort Faroth in Dragonbarrow, located in the eastern region of Caelid, to find the Dectus Medallion (Right) . Be careful when approaching the keep, as a dragon is resting near the main path leading to the entrance.
The enemies in this location will be stronger than those they faced in Fort Haight. Once you pass the dragon and into the fort, you will want to start running and not stop until you reach the medallion’s location. You are looking to ascend a ladder.
As a result, players who feel under-leveled should try their best to avoid confrontation and swiftly ascend the fort’s tower in Elden Ring to retrieve the medallion’s right half. An important detail to note is that the fort’s interior is quite dim, so using a torch to illuminate enemies lurking in the darkness may be helpful. There is a lantern by the ladder you are looking for, which should help you locate the right tower. The enemies cannot follow you up the ladder.
The enemies here have a chance to poison you, which should be less of a concern if you run through the room. However, there is still a possibility that you will get poisoned, so

There is not anything special at the top of the tower except for the right half of the medallion, so grab it and move on. Once players have both the left and right sides of the Dectus Medallion, they can return to the Grand Lift of Dectus in northern Liurnia to activate the mechanism.
This will successfully solve the puzzle, and you will be able to move on to the next big region in Elden Ring, which is filled with new items and loot for you to grab and refine your character build.
A cutscene will play once you have activated the lift, and you will travel upwards toward the Atlus Plateau. Of course, there are ways to skip finding the medallion. Suppose you do want to skip finding the medallions. In that case, other known entrances include the Ruin-Strewn Precipice, where you must be prepared for another boss fight, being swallowed by the Abductor Virgin near Raya Lucaria. Given that the other two paths end in boss fights, finding the Dectus Medallion is the best way to enter the Atlus Plateau in Elden Ring.
