Angela and Michael are one of many returning 90 Day Fiancé couples featured in the Happily Ever After? season 8 cast. The series highlights a few heavy hitters from the franchise, including Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods, Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo, and recent breakout stars Sophie Sierra and Rob Warne. Angela and Michael have been on many spin-offs, including Before the 90 Days, Happily Ever After?, and The Last Resort, so their inclusion in the cast wasn’t that surprising. What was surprising, though, was the fact that Michael had secured a visa interview with the United States Embassy.

The married couple struggled to bring Michael to the States for years. After getting engaged, Angela applied for a K-1 visa, which they were denied twice. Instead of waiting for Michael’s K-1 visa to be accepted, they were married in Nigeria. They then decided to file for a CR-1 spousal visa. It seemed like Michael wouldn’t be able to move to the States until Happily Ever After? season 8. He finally went for an interview, and though he was seen receiving a denial during the show, he was subsequently granted a visa.

Michael Was Spotted With His Wife In The States

All couples in the series film their segments at varying intervals. Happily Ever After? season 8 showcased some footage of the aftermath of Michael being denied a visa. This happened following an interview with the U.S. Embassy. However, because they’d revealed so much with their social media activity, the audience knew before the show that Michael made it to America. Michael was spotted in America with Angela in December 2023. Since the season showcased Michael landing in the States, it confirmed they filmed Happily Ever After? season 8 sometime during 2023.

The Happily Ever After? Season 8 Tell All Was Seemingly Filmed In January 2024

They Shot The Tell All Before Michael Went “Missing”

Unfortunately for the 90 Day Fiancé production team, the Happily Ever After? season 8 Tell All was filmed in January 2024, according to Reddit user Magemaud. While the special hasn’t aired yet, clips from the reunion have been teased in episodes. Notably, Michael is present in person in those teaser clips, with host Shaun Robinson looking stunned by his presence, further proving that he made it to the States before the Tell All was filmed.

There’s been no confirmation that the Tell All was shot in January 2024, but it must have been filmed between December 2023 and February 2024.

The production team behind Happily Ever After? season 8 couldn’t have anticipated Michael’s February 2024 disappearance. However, it’s quite disappointing that they chose to film the reunion special at that time. The series hadn’t even started airing in January 2024, meaning they got a head start on ensuring that the Tell All would be filmed, edited, and ready to air by the end of Happily Ever After? season 8.

Because of the filming schedule, Angela and Michael’s split will likely not be covered in any capacity in the episodes or Tell All. It’s disheartening that the fate of their relationship has been spoiled by media coverage. However, neither Angela nor Michael can stay out of the spotlight in the wake of their breakup, and it’s unlikely TLC will feature them as a couple on a future season of the show.

In late February 2024, Angela shared a shocking revelation – she said that her husband was missing. Angela explained that Michael left most of his personal belongings with her, which led her to believe he hadn’t left her. However, the Nigerian reality star later confirmed to the authorities that he was okay, citing that he ran away from Angela:

in fear of his life.”

Since he left his wife, they’ve thrown shots at each other on social media. Angela has attacked Michael’s character and hinted that she’s trying to get him deported. She may not be able to accomplish this goal.

Their split is still a hot topic in the 90 Day Fiancé universe. Production is likely upset that cameras weren’t up during this hectic time. They could have begun filming Angela and Michael separately after their split, but no rumors of production doing that have surfaced. Angela and Michael have been a staple couple in the franchise for quite some time. It’s astounding that a pivotal aspect of their relationship – the breakup – won’t be on the show.

Michael will be present at the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 Tell All despite his split from Angela. The Tell All special was filmed shortly before he ran away from his American wife. Unfortunately for viewers, Angela and Michael spoiled their storyline with their endless feuding on social media. It’s unclear if there will be a bonus special with the couple to discuss their breakup after the Tell All episodes, but regardless, Michael shouid be featured.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
