After starring as Mike Ross in Suits for more than seven seasons, Patrick J. Adams is set to appear in a different drama TV show, and, hopefully, he will get the chance to play the type of character that Mike never could be. The USA Network series, created by Aaron Korsh, ran for nine seasons before ending in September 2019. Four years later, though, Suits had a resurgence when added to Netflix, resulting in a new spinoff, which Adams won’t star in as a series regular. Nevertheless, Adams will continue his legal/crime drama career in Accused season 2 on Fox.
Patrick J. Adams is also set to star in two upcoming Netflix shows —
Lockerbie
(a drama based on the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103) and
Wayward
(a limited thriller series).
According to TVLine, Adams will appear alongside Nick Cannon and Jerrika Hinton in “Marcus’ Story” in Accused season 2. The crime drama anthology show, developed by Howard Gordon, is based on Jimmy McGovern’s 2010 British series of the same name. Accused features an entirely new cast, location, and case in each episode. Every hour covers a person on trial for a crime they are accused of, and the story is told from the defendant’s point of view. Following its successful first season, Fox renewed Accused for season 2, which will premiere on October 1, 2024, but Adams’ episode’s release date is unknown.

Adams Plays Pete In Accused Season 2
The nature of Patrick J. Adams’ role in season 2 of the Fox crime drama Accused is unknown. However, the network did reveal that his character’s name is Pete, while Jerrika Hinton plays Lycia and Nick Cannon portrays the episode’s namesake, Marcus. Cannon’s Marcus is evidently the “accused,” but Pete could still be the one guilty of the crime in question in “Marcus’ Story,” straying from Adams’ character’s story in Suits.

Mike Ross was never the bad guy in Suits, so, Accused could allow Adams to play a nefarious role in a crime/legal drama. Of course, no one will know who Pete is and how he factors into the hour’s case until it premieres. Marcus is seemingly the one on trial, but Accused is known for taking twists and turns, constantly surprising the audience. Consequently, Adams’ Pete may be the one who is guilty in the upcoming episode of the Fox TV show.

Suits’ premise is very difficult to replicate, which is why I’m interested to learn what Suits: LA’s story will be like compared to the original show.
Mike Ross Was Always The Hero In Suits (Even When He Was On Trial)
Mike Was Never Framed As Being In The Wrong
Even though Mike made his fair share of mistakes throughout Suits (including when he took other peoples’ LSATs and got arrested), viewers were always rooting for him. The USA Network series frequently painted Patrick J. Adams’ character as the good guy. As a result, the actor never got to truly embrace his dark side on the screen. So, perhaps Adams won’t return for the Suits spinoff, but he might get to flex a different acting muscle in Accused season 2.
