Xbox Game Pass is going all in on Day-One Releases to justify its price hike and now consumers have a better understanding of what they can expect to hit in the service in the coming months. Microsoft has long touted the Day-One feature of Xbox Game Pass as one of the core benefits of the subscription plan. While it’s undoubtedly frustrating that users now have to pay extra to enjoy it, there’s no denying that playing new releases without paying for them individually is satisfying, especially when the games look as good as these.
Per GameSpot, Xbox confirmed it’s locked in five new games as Day-One Releases, including the highly-anticipated spin-off of Remedy Entertainment’s Control:
- FBC: Firebreak
- Subnautica 2
- Wheel World
- Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
- Eternal Strands
All of the above-mentioned games will arrive on Game Pass the same day they launch on other platforms and each one has already generated a solid amount of excitement. Control fans have been desperate to play Firebreak since the multiplayer experience was announced and the Subnautica community is already extremely hyped for the official sequel to what is one of the most well-regarded survival games on the market.
