Which Couples Are Still Together In 2024? (& Which Aren’t)

The Netflix dating reality show Love on the Spectrum wrapped up season 2 in January 2024, and it’s time for an update on which couples are still together and which aren’t. The show fights against the misconception that people who are on the autism spectrum can’t form and maintain meaningful relationships. The most interesting part of the show is that it explores each cast member’s personal experience with autism, which offers a broader view of it.

The cast of Love on the Spectrum seasons 1 and 2 included ten 20-something singles who are somewhere on the autism spectrum. Dating is difficult for everybody, but looking for love presents unique challenges to those who are neurodiverse. Throughout the seasons, these singles dated and sometimes even fell in love with the help of autism expert and relationship coach Jennifer Cook O’Toole. Love on the Spectrum has one several Primtime Emmy awards for both seasons, including Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program and Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program in 2022 and 2024.

Journey & Talia

Not Together

Journey was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at the age of 17. Luckily, she has a family that supports her, no matter what. She met Talia, who describes herself on Instagram as “genderless and genreless,” whom she went on a couple of dates with during Love on the Spectrum season 2. According to Forbes, Journey and Talia are no longer together. However, Journey and Talia still follow each other on Instagram.

Journey, who is now 20 years old, is active on Instagram, where she has 12,200 followers. She describes herself as “#actuallyautistic.” On the show, Journey talked about her love of pastries and is currently a pasty student. Her feed consists of stylized posts featuring her outfits, hair looks, and pasty innovations. She has not introduced anyone special on social media as of yet, and seems to be focusing on herself and her ambitions.

Abbey Romeo & David Isaacman

Still Together

Abbey Lutes and David Isaacman met during Love On The Spectrum season 1, dated throughout season 2, and are still going strong. In an interview with Netflix, Abbey talked about how her relationship with David has changed since their trip to Africa.

,” Abbey said. ”
We do fun things together and go to places together like water parks and the zoo. We like to make s’mores together
.”

David and Abbey have taken their social media presence to new heights. They often do TikTok Lives, post Instagram Stories, and have just become content creators about their everyday lives. David and Abbey still share a love of traveling. They were recently in LA with family and friends, and they also attended Broadway’s The Lion King musical production in New York. Abbey has also become an influencer. She makes hats and also prints some of her quotes from Love on the Spectrum onto t-shirts. David and Abbey are one of the show’s biggest success stories as they continue to thrive.

Tanner Smith & Kate

Not Together, But Friends

Love On The Spectrum season 2’s Tanner Smith went on his first date ever when he went out with Kate. He told cameras he was looking for a woman who was polite, like him. Though they had a nice time on their lovely first date together, Tanner and Kate are no longer dating.

Right now, I am not dating anyone and I am good with being single for now. Kate and I are very good friends since the show and we text and stay in touch
,” Tanner told Netflix.

Tanner and Kate are still friends after the show. They post with each other on Instagram at different events, and Tanner commented in August 2024 that Kate “will always be my special friend.” He also let fans know that she was doing great. Tanner has 493,000 followers on Instagram and has also become a content creator. He encourages fans to watch his videos about what days in his life are like. He has also become good friends with Love on the Spectrum‘s Connor Tomlinson.

Dani Bowman & Adán Correa

It’s Complicated

Though Dani Bowman and Adan from Love On The Spectrum season 2 are still together, they haven’t seen each other in months and only communicate by text.

Our last date was in July, and I recognize that he’s juggling a busy schedule with college and a part-time job
,” Dani told Netflix. ”
I genuinely wish we could find more time to spend together,
” she added.

Dani and Adan still follow each other on Instagram, although he was not featured anywhere in her September 2024 highlights Reel. Dani has been very proud about her appearance at the 2024 Emmy’s where she, David, and Abbey were speakers. In late September 2024, Dani posted a picture in front of the Netflix studio and dropped that Love on the Spectrum season 3 was coming soon, hinting that she will likely be a part of it.

Connor Tomlinson & Emily Rose Becker

Not Together

Although the Love On The Spectrum season 2 closing credits read that Connor Tomlinson and Emily were still together, they have since broken up. During an interview with Netflix, Connor said, “We still keep in contact by text and go out together from time to time. Emily and I have both decided to be platonic. I am still single.”

Connor and Emily hung out as recently as last week, where Connor called her and other people in his photo his “friends.” Connor is another Love on the Spectrum star who has catapulted to stardom from his time on the show, and he too, is a content creator with 338,000 followers on Instagram. His beloved family is also often featured in his feed.

James Jones & Maggie

Not Together

James first appeared in Love on the Spectrum season 1, but he met and dated Maggie during season 2. The pair went on two dates, but things didn’t work out between them, and they decided to go their separate ways.

Since James appeared in the first two seasons, maybe he’ll return to the series if there’s a Love On The Spectrum season 3. James appears to still be single if his Instagram profile is any indication. However, he has 481,000 followers on Instagram and loves to post about his passions, most recently the Renaissance Faire.

Kaelynn Partlow & Peter Cole

Not Together

Kaelynn Partlow met Peter Cole while speed dating on Love on the Spectrum season 1, and sparks immediately flew between the couple. When their official first date went well, Kaelynn and Peter agreed to go out together again. However, the text on the screen during the closing credits of the season finale read, “Kaelynn and Peter had a second date plan. He canceled on her. They haven’t seen each other again.” Kaelynn is still single and looking for love.

Kaelynn has also turned in to a content creator on social media. She has 473,000 followers on Instagram, and speaks on a variety of topics related to her autism diagnosis. She has not introduced anyone special on her page, and it’s possible she will could come back for Love on the Spectrum season 3.

Subodh Garg & Rachel Osterbach

Not Together

After revealing that he had never been on a date in his entire life, Subodh Garg went on a date with Rachel Osterbach, who first appeared in A&E’s Born This Way. After a couple of dates, Subodh asked Rachel to be his girlfriend, and she agreed. The couple beamed as they shared the news with their families.

At the end of the season, Netflix confirmed the couple was still together. However, an Instagram post on behalf of Sobudh read, “We would like to share that Subodh and Rachel are no longer together as a couple. They are going to remain friends going forward.” Subodh adverises on his Instagram account that he is single, and he has posts related to his dating life.

Steve Spitz & Sharona

Not Together

Steve was featured in Love on the Spectrum seasons 1 and 2, and the oldest member of the show forayed into dating on the spectrum. Steve‘s date, Sharona, from season 2, did not work out, but he was hopeful about his love life in the future. The San Francisco native has an Instagram account managed by his Coach, Elaine Hall, although there are not many posts. He has made appearances at autism events, however. Not much is known about Steve’s current love life.
