How To Get David Martinez’s Jacket

It is possible to get David Martinez’s Jacket in Cyberpunk 2077 and get an item that is a nod to the Edgerunners TV show. However, to get the jacket, you will need to progress the main story enough so that you get access to Night City’s Watson district. Once your V has access to the area, you can start your search for David’s jacket right away.

Before you can get David’s jacket, you have to at least complete the Life Path intro associated with whatever background you chose for V. This will let you wake up in the Watson District, the first and largest part of Cyberpunk 2077‘s open world that you can explore. This district includes a side quest you can complete for David’s jacket, but only after you find a Braindance in the area.

How To Find The Edgerunners BD

Discover The Rare Crossover Braindance

To find the Edgerunners Braindance, you need to head to Megabuilding H4, located in Arroyo in Night City’s Santo Domingo district. At this point in the game, you may not have a car or other vehicle in your garage to take you to this place. If you have unlocked some fast travel points, getting to the Megabuilding shouldn’t be too hard, but you may need to get there on foot.

Once you reach the Megabuilding Hr, you will need to go down a small alleyway that will contain a trashcan. This trashcan will be marked with a Neon symbol, the same symbol as David’s jacket from the show. This same trashcan contains a Braindance (BD)- a special type of device that can connect to V’s neural systems to play a video for you.

If you are having trouble locating the building with the Braindance, it will be marked with a Side Gig marker on the map called ” Over the Edge”. Completing this quest will help you find the location of David’s jacket after you watch the Braindance. Thankfully, this side quest doesn’t take too long to complete, as all you have to do is view the BD and send a few texts.

The “Over The Edge”Side Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 you pick up starts when you view the Edgerunners BD. Activating the braindance will cause a short clip from the Edgerunners anime to play, followed by a warning not to end up like David. After V exits the BD, go ahead and text Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes, Santo Domingo’s local fixer.

Conversation with this character should show a new dialogue option named “About David Martinez.” Pick this option from your phone’s menu to get some more info about David from Reyes. In addition to the knowledge you gain about the character, Reyes will also try to set up a meeting, getting you on track to finding David’s jacket at a specific location.

Where To Find David’s Jacket

Adopt The Look Of An Edgerunner

24 hours after texting Reyes about a meeting, someone named Falco will text V to ask why they’re searching for David. You should follow through with the conversation, and Falco will reveal that David’s whole crew has gone underground, discouraging you from searching further. However, in return for your persistence, Falco has left something with Muamar that V can collect.

Go ahead and meet up with Muamar at the Badlands Dam to find the fixer alongside the dam wall. You don’t have to talk to him, just head over to the dam wall where a case can be seen unopened. Looting this container will reward you with David’s jacket, completing the “Over The Edge” Side Gig, and rewarding you with the crossover gear.
