Mystery Gifts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet do not have to be mysteries anymore. These freebies are often given out to players to get helpful items and new Pokémon, and they can be used by anyone, whether you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership or not. This is a great way to fill out your roster and get Pokémon you may not be able to in this game otherwise.
The characters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are growing, and so is the roster of Pokémon you can get. Things like Roy’s Fuecoco are available only through these Mystery Gifts. New Pokémon & Helpful Items
There are 12 Mystery Gifts available at the moment, all of which have exciting rewards. The biggest one at the moment is Roy’s Fuecoco, but there are many others available. Players must also have purchased the DLC for one Mystery Gift, which can be downloaded from the internet; as described below, you do not need an internet connection to redeem codes.
Players will need to act quickly to unlock the newest code, which
expires just a few days
after becoming available. This is because it is for a special event celebrating Tomoya Ogawa’s victory last year at the World Championships, and this year’s competition is heating up!

It was previously possible to get unique Mystery Gift codes for pre-ordering Pokémon Scarlet & Violet or purchasing the game within the first few months of release, but those have all expired now.
If you are lucky enough to attend the World Championships this year, you can receive a few different mystery gifts that are being distributed in person and cannot be received otherwise.
Additionally, if you connect Pokemon HOME to your copy of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can receive a Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly in your Pokemon HOME, each with a special Hidden Ability. From there, you can transfer them into your game to have all three starters without having to find a trade for them. This is a lifesaver for anyone who struggles to find friends to play with or who might not have Nintendo Online.
How To Use Mystery Gift Codes
Go To The Poké Portal
Players will have to unlock at least one Pokémon Center in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet before they can claim Mystery Gift codes in the game. This should not take more than an hour or so of gameplay, depending on how long you agonize over which starter you should choose. Then, you can head over to your menu.
When you enter the menu, the Poké Portal will become available, which you will want to select. Right there, you will see an option for “Mystery Gift,” after which you will have several more options. You can download Mystery Gifts from the Internet when available, which is the DLC-specific Mystery Gift, but you can also select the Code option to enter any of the codes above. You can also choose the “Check Poké Portal News” button to see if any new Mystery Gifts are available.
You will then immediately receive what you got from the reward. However, if you want to see what it looks like, you can see YouTuber ConCon’s explanation of the process in the video above. Pokémon will be sent to the Poké Box or your Party, depending on available slots. Items will be found in your Bag, and clothing and accessories are found within the category they belong to. Poké Dollars are added to your current total. That should be all you need to know about opening Mystery Gifts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
