Prime Gaming’s Stand-Out Free Offerings
So Many Great Games, So Little Time
Each of the games listed above will undoubtedly find an audience in some capacity given the sheer level of quality on offer but there are few that separate themselves from the crowd. Starting with the modern 2D brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, the throwback retro game has made a name for itself as one of the best in the genre thanks to its vibrant animation and accessible combat that requires just enough skill to not devolve into mashing buttons. It launched to fantastic reviews in 2022 and has maintained its reputation with some excellent DLC characters.
Paired with the classic Knights of the Old Republic II, which is widely considered to be one of the best Star Wars games of all time, there’s enough content there to keep subscribers busy for days. A slower, more narrative-focused game that tells a story of an aspect of the franchise that’s often overlooked, players will need to think carefully before they commit to their decisions. It may not have aged all that well visually but the writing on display is timeless.
As for some of the other Amazon giveaways, players should also make some time for the excellent action-stealth game Hitman Absolution, while those looking for something more cozy ought to play Forager. Card Shark will appeal to those with a love of history and unique memory-game mechanics and Wall World is a great rogue-like with a unique twist to its setting. There’s a little something for everyone.
