American Family Care signed a 12-unit agreement for the Orlando area with Peter Jr. and Michael DiPasqua of DiPasqua Enterprises. The DiPasqua family has 45 years of franchise experience, beginning with Subway, and today operating Crumbl Cookies, Planet Fitness, K9 Resort and Allora Day Spas. American Family Care, founded in 1982, is a healthcare brand with more than 300 clinics.
Curry Up Now, an Indian fast-casual brand, inked a six-unit agreement with cousins Siddharth and Guarav Bhindi through their company Quick Elephant. The duo will open the six locations in the Seattle market, marking the brand’s entry in Washington. Established in 2009, Curry Up Now has 20 locations and three food trucks.
Ziggi’s Coffee signed a nine-location deal for the state of Washington with Ashwani Kumar and Sujata Kumar. While the two are new to Ziggi’s, both have prior business ownership experience. Established in 2004 and franchising since 2016, Ziggi’s Coffee has 72 locations across 16 states.
Crimson Coward, a Nashville hot chicken concept, signed an area development agreement for Maryland with Restaurant Management Group-Mid Atlantic. The group has several members with franchisee experience and already signed a deal for Virginia. The group is developing 25 Crimson Coward restaurants in both states. An emerging brand, the chicken concept was founded in 2019.
Anti-aging brand Serotonin Centers signed a five-unit agreement with the husband-and-wife team Brent and Amy Hulderman. The couple bring experience as business owners, with Brent operating Absolute Recovery, a repossession company, for the last 15 years, while Amy has run a local Charlotte restaurant for over a decade. The Huldermans’s five units will be the first for the Charlotte market. An emerging brand, Serotonin Centers has two locations open.
Salata, a salad kitchen concept, inked a three-unit deal with Phillip Jones to expand its Georgia footprint. An experienced multi-brand franchisee, Jones also owns several Smoothie King and Marco’s Pizza units. Founded in 2005, Salata Salad Kitchen has 90 locations across California, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina and Texas.
Twin Peaks is expanding an area development deal with existing franchisee group 3B Lodge. The group acquired five locations in Kansas earlier this year, and the updated deal commits 3B Lodge to opening four locations in Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Founded in 2005, Twin Peaks is a sports bar concept with 101 locations in the United States and Mexico.
Clean Eatz will enter the Boise market after signing a two-unit agreement. The healthy food concept entered a deal with the husband-and-wife team of Dominic and Lindsay Tapia, who both bring experience in the business sector. Launched in 2011 and franchising since 2015, Clean Eatz has 94 units in operation.
Spa brand The Covery signed an area rights agreement for Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania with entrepreneurial brothers Fred and Steve Vicario. The Covery was founded in 2019 and now has seven locations open.
Self Esteem Brands signed an agreement to expand its concepts Basecamp Fitness and Waxing the City in Las Vegas. The deal is with Steve Polk, who’s already a multi-unit operator with Self Esteem’s Anytime Fitness. With his business partners Nikki Huynh and Bill Hargraves, Polk is signed on to open three Basecamp Fitness studios and one Waxing the City location in Vegas, making him the first tri-brand franchisee with Self Esteem. Basecamp Fitness offers a higher intensity workout while Waxing the City is a skincare brand.
