Anora features a leading cast including Mikey Madison, Yura Borisov, Mark Eidelshtein, Vache Tovmasyan, and Karren Karagulian.

Anora’s Awards Potential Just Got Better
As of now, Anora is outpacing director Baker’s 2017 indie hit The Florida Project. The film was released around the same time seven years ago and made a total of $10.9 million during the entirety of its run. Anora‘s domestic opening itself was more than double The Florida Project‘s, and its total in just a few weeks is already over half of The Florida Project‘s overall gross. Our Take On Anora’s Success
Anora Is A Great Film
In a year that has been extremely fickle at the box office, it is great to see Anora succeed. While it has already gotten the exposure from Cannes, Anora is far from typical Hollywood storytelling, featuring unconventional characters and dialogue, and taking time to let the story unfold. The movie also combines multiple elements that have made Baker’s films great: the chaotic comedy of Red Rocket, the frenetic pacing and location changes of Tangerine, and the heartbreak of The Florida Project. These elements make Anora a successful film, and luckily this success is mirrored at the box office.
