Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star Michael Keaton has weighed in on the possibility of returning to his iconic role one more time. After originating the role in 1988, he recently reprised the character of the iconic bio-exorcist Betelgeuse in the 2024 Tim Burton legacy sequel, which reunited Keaton with original cast members Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara reprising their roles as Lydia and Delia Deetz respectively alongside a cast of franchise newcomers that includes Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux and Jenna Ortega. Although the movie was a critical and commercial hit, so far the possible Beetlejuice 3 has not been greenlit.

E! News has now shared an interview with Michael Keaton from the red carpet for the new movie Goodrich. During their conversation, they asked if the star would return for Beetlejuice 3, which has not yet been officially greenlit. Keaton responded in the affirmative, succinctly saying “Oh yeah, I’d do it every year, yeah. This is in keeping with his previous comments about the role, including stating that Beetlejuice is his favorite movie that he has ever made.

More to come…
