One of the more advanced classes players can choose in Elden Ring is the Warrior. This is a melee-focused class that works well with dual-wielding, greatweapons, or sword-and-shield builds. The class’s martial proficiencies make it one of the best starting points in the game, but players will also need to find the right gear, weapons, armor, and stats to complement this class’s preferred play style.
Given that the Warrior class is entirely focused on melee damage, players won’t have range advantages very often. Players who select the warrior will need to focus on important game mechanics, such as rolls, dodges, or parrying. Similar to other Elden Ring classes, such as the Astrologer or Confessor, there are specific stats that benefit the Warrior more than others and help players scale in damage. Warriors have greater flexibility than other classes in terms of their primary stat. No matter your choice, it is important to pursue the best gear and stats to keep up with the monumental difficult bosses.

The Best Warrior Stats In Elden Ring
Vigor + Endurance
The Warrior class in Elden Ring best enables dual-wielding or otherwise high dexterity builds, since this is the stat that helps the class scale in damage. Strength builds are not entirely out of the question for Warriors, but the Barbarian Hero is ultimately better suited for this role. Vigor will help keep your health bar sizable, which is extremely important considering that most of your playstyle will involve being in the face of your opponents. The bigger your health bar, the wider the margin for error you have.
- Endurance: Primary stat (20+)
- Dexterity: Primary damage scale stat (upgrade as needed)
- Vigor: Primary stat (20+)
- Strength: Optional stat
At the very least, vigor and endurance should be raised to at least 20, as dexterity can always be increased to help scale up the damage of the Mantis Blade , Scimitars , or a Wakizashi dagger . The Ashes of War for this Elden Ring build will depend on which weapons players choose to use, as some of these weapons have the traits as skills already.
The Best Weapons, Armor, And Items For Warriors
Choosing The Right Gear
The overarching concept of a fantastic Warrior build is to use the heaviest armor possible without sacrificing a medium roll. Since the Warrior class’s offensive goal is to be in the face of all enemies as much as possible, there will be times when trading damage is unavoidable.
There are many different types of armor sets in Elden Ring that work with this build, but the ability to perform a medium roll takes precedence. Lastly, while dexterity affects the lighter weapons players can use, some Warrior builds can also focus on the strength stat for the heavier weapons.
The Twinned Set is a medium-weight set that provides a lot of vitality for players who want to remain a bit lighter. With enough endurance, however, the Bull-Goat Set is by far the superior option for the Warrior in Elden Ring, as its damage negation and resistances are among the largest of any armor set in Elden Ring. Either way, this armor will provide you the most amount of damage resistance, without sacrificing the all-important roll ability in Elden Ring.
