BODYBAR Pilates Reflects on Strong Performance Through First Six Months of 2022

BODYBAR Pilates, the studio franchise known for its athletically-driven workouts that unite core Pilates principles with modern exercise training, is thrilled to reflect on its strong growth in 2022. The brand currently has 11 locations open throughout the U.S, three of which opened this year in Lakewood Ranch, Florida; East Wichita, Kansas; and Kansas City, Missouri. The brand also has multiple locations in its development pipeline with plans to expand in Texas, Florida, Kansas and Utah and enter into new states like Alabama, California, Massachusetts, Utah and Tennessee.

“After the uncertainty of 2020 and 2021, we are extremely pleased to be bringing BODYBAR to so many new markets this year,” said Matt McCollum, CEO of BODYBAR Pilates. “The growth we’ve seen over the past six months indicates the momentum of our concept and the fitness industry as a whole. We look forward to sharing the benefits of our integrative Pilates workout with more and more people as we continue to grow through our strategic franchising initiative in the coming months.”

Opening the first BODYBAR studio in Bee Cave, Texas is local entrepreneur Katy Kenney. Having been a Pilates instructor for the past five years, Katy will leverage her years of experience as a business owner and manager to work to raise the bar in the Austin area.

Continuing the brand’s strong presence in the Wichita, Kansas market, serial entrepreneur Kalene Hoffman is thrilled to sign on to open BODYBAR’S second location in the Kansas region. Kaleen will share BODYBAR’s community-centric model with her neighbors based on her years of experience operating multiple businesses, including a gym in the Wichita area.

Opening the second location in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, locals Colin and Heidi Christensen are ready to elevate the Pilates experience in Bountiful. The Christensen’s bring extensive experience in healthcare technology, marketing and real estate – along with Heidi’s previous experience as a Pilates instructor. The couple will lean on Colin’s ability to develop talent and Heidi’s love for Pilates to grow their presence and connect with the community they know and love through BODYBAR.

BODYBAR Pilates is excited to continue on its strong growth trajectory with franchisees like Katy, Kalene, and the Christensen’s, and is targeting major cities like Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Atlanta, Boise, Boston, Denver, Miami, Oklahoma City, Phoenix and Salt Lake City in its expansion.

With an executive team of current and former franchisees, BODYBAR understands the challenges that come with small business ownership, and provides unwavering support as franchisees new and existing grow with the brand.
