Dear Debt,

I really thought we had something special at first. The new car provided me with so much joy. And the college education helped me get a great job.

When I first met you it seemed like anything was possible.

But then things started to change. I realized that you were just using me. You never really cared about anyone, you just wanted money. I paid and paid, but you never seemed to go away.

Our relationship got really complicated and I just couldn’t handle it anymore.

I’m doing so much better without you. I don’t have to worry about making payments every month or being stressed about interest building up.

Without you, I feel so much lighter. I’m done with you, debt. I need to be free and clear of any obligations.

I’ll always appreciate what you’ve done for me. You were there for me when I needed you most. But now it’s time to say goodbye forever.

I broke up with you and I’m never looking back.

Sincerely,

Stephen

Melanie
