Ellie, who has been working in the yachting industry for nearly a decade, was excited for the opportunity to work on Below Deck Mediterranean season 9. The stew has been working in the yachting industry for years, and shared early on in the season that she was hopeful she’d be able to use the charter season to advance her career moving forward.
As Ellie got acquainted with the rest of the crew, including Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Aesha Scott, she came to understand that her role on Mustique would be to play the middle. She moved easily between Aesha and third stew Bri Muller, who was working beneath her. In the early days of her time aboard Mustique, Ellie and Bri’s relationship seemed to be a positive one for both of them, but after a few charters together, the pair began to have some serious complications. With things changing, it appeared Ellie was becoming a villain on Below Deck Mediterranean.

Ellie & Iain’s Interaction Made Her More Likeable
She Wasn’t Interested In The Chatty Bosun
During the most recent episode of Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, Ellie got dressed up for the crew’s night out and was hoping to impress Joe Bradley, who she’s been interested in throughout the charter season. While Bri was also vying for Joe’s attention, Aesha talked to Joe and asked him to keep things relaxed between himself and the women while their issues subsided. Ellie was confused as to why Joe wasn’t responsive to her outfit, but decided to keep to herself for the evening. Bosun Iain Maclean, however, had some other ideas for the Stew he’d been interested in.
Iain confirmed during an interview segment that he’d been interested in Ellie from early on in the charter season, but was doing his best to play it cool and let her come to him. Despite Ellie not seeming to be interested, Iain saw her in her revealing outfit and decided it was the right time to try and chat her up. While Iain was doing his best to make a good impression, Ellie wasn’t interested in his advances. In a hilarious turn of events, watching Ellie poke fun at Iain’s attempts to talk to her made her far more likeable.
Ellie Is Being Nicer To Bri
She’s Been Kinder To The Inexperienced Stew
Throughout Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, there have been issues between Aesha’s stews, and the drama has been difficult to wade through for both women. Despite Ellie and Bri having a several episode feud over the beginning of the charter season over Joe, the stews seemed to be getting along in the most recent episode. While Both were looking for attention from Joe earlier in the charter, and even though Ellie let Bri know that she was interested, Bri hooked up with the deckhand without any regard for Ellie’s feelings for Joe at all. Things changed quickly between the women.
When Ellie found out that Bri and Joe hooked up, she wasn’t happy about the fact that Bri had gone behind her back to do so. After Ellie confronted Bri, things were tense between the Stews. Both women had valid disappointment in each other, Ellie with Bri for her actions, Bri with Ellie for her reaction. Though both women were upset, Bri was immature about the way she handled things, while Ellie tried to maintain her professionalism. In the episode, Ellie and Bri were able to be professional with one another, with Ellie doing her best to keep things civil.
Ellie & Bri Are No Longer Fighting Over Joe
They’ve Decided To Put Down Their Rivalry
Although Ellie and Bri seemed to be struggling to reach a place of peace about Joe and who would be going for him throughout the charter season, it appears that the Stews aren’t fighting over the Deckhand anymore. When Bri and Ellie began to fight about their feelings for Joe, trying to figure out who would get to jump headfirst into a boatmance, the waters were murky for the duo. Bri refused to sleep in their shared cabin, and Ellie was confused about the entire issue was she’d made it clear that she would continue to operate professionally with Bri.
While they were both struggling to come to a mutual consensus over Joe, Bri and Ellie seemed to be doing better with one another during the most recent episode. Even though Ellie was still interested in going after Joe while he was quietly rejecting Bri, the women didn’t seem to be going against one another during their day-to-day, especially with their work. Ellie even stepped in to help Bri with the laundry, even though Bri attempted to push her out of the situation entirely. Instead, the stews worked together successfully as the rest of the crew struggled to get ready.
Aesha Wants Them To End Their Feud
She Wants To Keep The Peace
Although Bri and Ellie attempted to sort out their issues, Aesha still had to step in and shared that she isn’t entirely sure that the Stews have ended their feud entirely. During a meeting after a charter that Aesha held to air out their issues, Bri and Ellie both seemed to be on entirely different wavelengths. While Bri wanted the team to watch the way they speak to each other, Ellie wanted them to be a little less sensitive about their interactions that come in moments of stress aboard Mustique. Aesha emphasized the need for the Stews to speak kindly.
After the meeting, Aesha shared that she didn’t really think the women had set their fight down entirely, but she was hopeful it wouldn’t impact their work together again during the charter season. She explained that while she understood where both women were coming from, being kind to each other was the most important thing she could ask them both to do. Aesha felt that Ellie may need to work on her delivery, but ultimately didn’t feel that the Below Deck Mediterranean star was doing anything wrong in the way she was working aboard the Mustique and communicating with Bri.
