Cobra Kai season 6 brought back all the action with the help of a great soundtrack. This first installment of the Netflix series’ final season was only five episodes, but there’s already a great deal going on to excite audiences for the release of Cobra Kai season 6, part 2. There are pic fights, manipulative sleepovers, college parties, demanding karate tests, and more going on in this batch of episodes, and the excitement of these scenes is driven home by a great selection of music.
The majority of the music in Cobra Kai is composed by Zach Robinson and Leo Birenberg, who have been with the series from the beginning. This duo has done a phenomenal job setting the tone for Johnny’s kick-ass story, with a 1980s-inspired score full of intense guitar riffs and dramatic synthetic percussion. However, from time to time, a scene in Cobra Kai needs the help of a familiar tune. Whether a pop culture staple from the ’80s or a newer jam that better fits with the Netflix show’s teenage cast, there’s a little something for nearly every episode in season 6.

They join Kyler at a frat party, where the song “Pop It” by Charlotte Devaney and Noize Parade sets the tone.
“Crank It Up” By Joey Valence & Brae – All hell broke loose at the frat party when Kyler learned that he never had a chance of being accepted. As Kyler, Miguel, Demetri, and Hawk beat up the fraternity jerks, the song “Crank It Up” by Joey Valance and Brae played, getting viewers pumped up for the kickass Cobra Kai fight scene.

“Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper – Johnny arranged a slumber party for Devon, Tory, and Sam in hopes that it would cause some drama between the latter two. His idea was inspired by the parties his high-school girlfriend Ali Mills used to have back in the day, so the ’80s anthem “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper was the perfect choice.
“All Money In” by 20_2x – The mysterious chest Daniel found in Mr. Miyagi’s room led him, Chozen, and Amanda to a boxing gym that the old sensei apparently used to be involved with. As they entered the joint, the song “All Money” by 20_2x played.

This meant a classic Cobra Kai montage in which all the kids participated in Mike’s various tests, fittingly accompanied by the song “You Want It All” by Go Betty Go.
