Fast & Furious 11 Bringing Back This Missing Character Can Only Happen Under 1 Condition

Summary

  • Vin Diesel’s recent Instagram hints at the return of a
    2 Fast 2 Furious
    character.
  • Devon Aoki’s return to
    Fast and Furious 11
could be amazing, but it has to be big.
  • A Suki cameo would disappoint fans who have been waiting for her return since 2003.

Vin Diesel recently shared an Instagram post that heavily implies the return of one character in Fast and Furious 11, but if this is true, it has to happen in this specific way. The Fast and Furious movies have been going strong since 2001, so it is no surprise that the cast has seen a number of changes over the years. Actors have joined the Fast and Furious cast, left it, and returned in a blaze of glory. Yet when it comes to certain characters, their return deserves bigger fanfare than a mere cameo.

On Instagram, Vin Diesel posted a photo of himself hugging actor Devon Aoki, who previously played Suki in 2 Fast 2 Furious. He captioned the photo: “One of my favorite pics of 2024…[T]wo decades for this moment… as we are in preproduction for the Fast finale, Pablo sent a message, Suki.” Though Diesel didn’t confirm that Aoki is returning in the Fast and Furious 11 cast, this picture implies that it’s possible. Aoki only appeared in the second Fast & Furious movie, and in 2009, retired from acting. So many years later, it’s possible that she’s finally making her return.

Fast & Furious 11 Needs To Give Suki A Big Role If Devon Aoki Returns

Audiences Have Waited Too Long For Suki

While the potential return of Devon Aoki as Suki is incredibly exciting, there is a certain condition that must be met upon her return. Fast and Furious 11 must give Aoki a major role. Although Suki only appeared in a single Fast & Furious movie, her impact can still be felt so many years later. Suki is often considered the best female driver in the entire franchise. Plus, she never really got a solid ending. Where other Fast & Furious characters returned for longer arcs, Suki basically disappeared. Thus, audiences need answers about where she’s been.

On top of that, Suki deserves a larger role because viewers have waited so long for her return. 2 Fast 2 Furious came out over 20 years ago, which means Suki’s absence has remained for that amount of time as well. Devon Aoki’s return would be such a great addition to Fast and Furious 11 that it needs to be worth the wait. Suki needs to have a reunion with Dom and get back behind the wheel once more. Her storyline must be given a proper ending before the franchise closes out for good.

A Suki Cameo In Fast & Furious 11 Would Be Disappointing After All These Years

Suki Deserves More Screen Time

Ultimately, Devon Aoki needs a big role in Fast and Furious 11 because a cameo would just be a disappointing tease. It has been so long since Suki appeared in the franchise that it would almost feel pointless to give her just a Fast & Furious cameo. Audiences have questions that need answers. Furthermore, it would simply be anticlimactic to only see Suki for a brief amount of time. Suki’s impact on the Fast & Furious franchise is no small thing, and for that reason, Devon Aoki must be given a significant part in Fast and Furious 11.

Fast and Furious 11
is currently scheduled for release in 2026.
