Physical therapy brand Fyzical, signed a trio of three-unit deals, expanding the concept’s presence in Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Missouri. In Landsdale, Pennsylvania, home health business owner and physical therapist Darshan Mukeshbhai and his wife Stuti Sunikumar Mehta, who has a background in the pharmaceutical industry, will open three locations.
In Charleston, South Carolina, marketing pro Mike Badino and his wife Heather, a luxury travel agent, will develop another three. Finally, in St. Charles, Missouri, Demir Devecigil, who has a career in IT, is partnering with Pinar Aypek Turker, a grant administrator for the county government, to open three locations. Founded in 2012, Fyzical has more than 550 U.S. clinics.
Dill Dinkers, a Maryland-based pickleball concept, signed a deal for 20 locations in New Jersey and New York. Helming the development is Adam, Janine and Michael Fiala a sibling trio with experience in the education sector. Owners of a family business, Preschool Playhouse, the three will open Dill Dinkers in northern New Jersey and Hudson Valley, New York. Dill Dinkers, founded in 2022, is nearing 30 locations.
Electronics retail brand PayMore inked a pair of multi-unit agreements to grow in the Midwest. One deal is with a trio of franchise operators, Romeo Radulici, Sachin Patel and Gerry Stewart, who’re partners with Jersey Mike’s, VIO Med Spa and Sparkle Dog Care. They will develop the resale stores in and around the Cleveland metro.
The other agreement signed is with Brian Penar. A former medical sales professional, Penar is set to become a full-time franchisee with five PayMore locations in Chicago. Established in 2011, PayMore has nearly 60 stores open.
Smalls Sliders is continuing to build its Texas presence with its third multi-unit agreement for Houston. The deal is with entrepreneur Matthew Wiggins, who will open six locations in the city. The signing puts the number of locations in development for Texas over 100. First opened in 2019, Smalls Sliders is backed by 10 Point Capital and has 19 restaurants open.
AtWork, a Knoxville, Tennessee-based staffing brand, signed a two-unit agreement for development in Austin, Texas. The deal was inked with the husband-and-wife duo Steve and Tracy Koehler, who both have a background in governmental work. Established in 1986 and franchising since 1992, AtWork has nearly 100 locations nationwide.
Beauty salon brand Blushington inked a two-unit deal for the Houston market. Courtney Freels, who has a background in trading oil and gas, is bringing the concept to Texas. Founded in 2011, Blushington signed its first franchise agreement in May and is targeting Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia and Tennessee for expansion. The brand has one unit in New York City.
Toppers Pizza signed a four-unit agreement to expand in two Nebraska cities. Local entrepreneurs Ross Lerner and Lori Irvin, will open two restaurants in Omaha and another two in Lincoln. As part of the deal, the duo also acquired two existing units in Omaha, one in Lincoln and a fourth in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Founded in 1991, Wisconsin-based Toppers Pizza has 70 locations.
Poke bowl concept Pokeworks signed its first multi-unit deal for Minnesota, with three locations set for development in the Minneapolis metro area. The agreement is with local entrepreneurs Louise and Kris Daniels, who have experience in program management and consulting, respectively. Kris Daniels is also a Scooter’s Coffee franchisee. Founded in 2015, Pokeworks has 72 units across 22 states, Canada and Taiwan.
