Do you ever wake up on Monday already feeling stressed for the week? I know that feeling and I HATE that feeling. It can be tough to balance life, and work and kids and marriage, and all of the little things in between. One of the things that has helped me feel less stressed on Monday morning is by taking some time on Sunday to prep for the week.
And the great news is I can do all of this in under an hour.
Review my calendar
I take a minute to pull out my phone and planner and make sure to add any appointments and deadlines. I also include things that need to be done like scheduling appointments and making phone calls.
Make a meal plan and order groceries
I meal plan based first on what I have in my house. I will look at our weekly schedule and see if we have any late afternoon or evening plans and factor in how that might impact where and when we eat dinner. I will then make a quick plan and order any groceries I might need using the Walmart grocery pickup app.
Prep some breakfast
I love a premade breakfast. It helps calm the chaos of a Monday morning. So I will whip up a double batch of muffins and freeze some of them.
Make sure we have clothes
We are a family of 6, which means I am doing multiple loads of laundry a day. I like to ensure we have at least three days worth of clean underwear and outfits. No one wants to be searching for pants a 7 a.m. on a Monday- am I right?
