How To Complete The Demon’s Test

In Throne and Liberty, you’ll meet a demon named Junobote, who lays out three tests before you. Each one requires you to solve a tactical puzzle, putting your problem-solving skills, memory, and even your tune to the test. Despite the demon’s rather helpful hints, his puzzles may pose a problem for many players.

To complete the tests, you’ll first need to pick up Junobote’s Examination Paper in Manawastes. This will activate the Exploration Codex: Demon’s Test. Interact with it to find yourself transported to the Path of Penance for the three-part trial.

How To Solve The Demon’s Test Puzzles

All Three Puzzle Solutions Explained

Junobote will present you with three puzzles in Throne and Liberty. Throne and Liberty Online has collected the helpful hints kindly provided by the demon during each test, but the solutions can be tough to work out if you aren’t sure what results you’re looking for. We’ve broken down all three answers along with reference images to walk you through each test. MMO Wiki on YouTube has also demonstrated each of the tasks ahead for an additional visual aid.

Puzzle 1 Explained

Junobote’s first puzzle involves three objects: a horse statue, an eagle statue, and a sword cast. Each of them casts a unique shadow on the boulder straight ahead, and you can move each item to change its shadow’s appearance. The goal here is to rotate each of the three objects to manipulate their shadows and create a new image. The end result should look like a Pegasus, or a unicorn with wings.

Throne and Liberty is a perfectly passable, if generic, MMO. It has some interesting ideas, but most fall too flat to establish a unique identity.

The horse statue is the easiest part to work with in this puzzle, so you should start by turning it straight to the left. After that, rotate the eagle until its body totally disappears in the shadow and its wings connect to the horse’s back. Finally, manipulate the sword’s angle until it fits naturally with the downward angle of the horse’s head to emulate a horn.

Puzzle 2 Explained

The demon Junobote’s second puzzle is arguably the trickiest, as it tests both your memory and your tune. When you first arrive at the scene, interact with the large statue in the center of the field and listen closely to its song. Each note it plays will also appear as a symbol, giving you key visuals to work with as you try to replicate the melody using the crystals lined up ahead.

We’ve numbered each crystal in the above image to help you get the note order down on your first go. The correct rhythm is as follows: 2, 5, 6, 4, 3, 1, 3, 2. Interact with the corresponding crystals to play the tune and move on to the final puzzle.

Puzzle 3 Explained

Junobote’s final puzzle is the most straightforward of the bunch in Throne and Liberty, requiring you to adjust the heights of the giant statues in front of you. To get it right, each golem in line will need to be standing at the same height, which you can adjust using the corresponding crystals.

Again, we’ve numbered the crystals above to help with the process. The correct order is: 2, 4, 3, 3, 5, 5. Following the test’s conclusion, you’ll be taken to a stone-lined path. Simply jump from one platform to the next to finish up. Use your favorite dash morph to navigate the platforms with ease and precision in Throne and Liberty.
