A new Yellowstone spinoff is reportedly eyeing Kurt Russell, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Patrick J. Adams to join the cast. The neo-Western franchise was created by Taylor Sheridan, who now oversees the flagship series as well as several spinoffs both currently on the air and in development.Yellowstone is ending later this year when the second part of season 5 airs and a spinoff set after those events has long been in development, with reports indicating that Matthew McConaughey could star.
Now, TVLine reports that the spinoff, formerly known as 2024, will be titled The Madison. Russell, Pfeiffer, and Adams are all nearing deals to star in the series, which will follow the matriarch of the Clyburn clan, Stacy, as she moves her family to Montana after her husband and brother-in-law die in a plane crash. Production will begin later this month with a 2025 release date being eyed.
