Lou Al-Chamaa named EVP of A&R at Spirit Music Group

Spirit Music Group has announced the appointment of A&R veteran Lou Al-Chamaa to the role of Executive Vice President of A&R.

In his new role, Al-Chamaa will be responsible for signing and developing artists, songwriters, and producers for Spirit Music Group. Based out of the company’s Los Angeles office, he will report directly to Frank Rogers, Spirit Music Group’s Chief Creative Officer.

Commenting on the appointment, Rogers said: “We are excited to welcome Lou Al-Chamaa to Spirit Music Group. Lou’s drive, passion and experience in building successful writer rosters make him the perfect fit for Spirit. We are looking forward to expanding our footprint in Los Angeles and beyond with Lou’s guidance.”

Prior to joining Spirit Music Group, Al-Chamaa served as Senior Vice President, Head of A&R, Publishing at AVEX USA, where he played a role in restructuring the company’s A&R and creative division.

His tenure at AVEX saw significant signings, including afro beats star Victony, hit songwriters/producers like Jasper Harris (Tate McRae’s Greedy), and GENT! (producer of Doja Cat’s No.1 hit Agora Hills). He also established key partnerships with Ryan Tedder’s Runner Music publishing.

“The opportunity to collaborate with such a forward-thinking team and contribute to the evolution of music creation is incredibly inspiring.”
