Ororon is one of the new playable characters confirmed to be arriving in HoYoverse’s action RPG in Version 5.2, alongside Chasca. Few official details about him have been revealed, such as his Electro Vision, but new leaks are highlighting more information. Ororon’s leaked kit in Genshin Impact 5.2, for instance, hints at his potential as a sub-DPS in several types of team comps, especially those focused on Electro-Charged Reactions.

Ororon is expected to be a good substitute for Fischl and Raiden Shogun in the sense that he can provide consistent off-field Electro DMG while the team’s main DPS unleashes their power combined with the new character’s assistance. As a unit from Natlan, Ororon is also expected to have some sort of mobility ability, and leaks indicate he can leap high up into the air and then glide. In footage obtained by the leaker known as Gura, which was then shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit, players can see that Ororon’s Elemental Sight is different than the same ability used by different characters. When Ororon uses his Elemental Sight next to a graffiti in Natlan, the graffiti is highlighted with colors. When other characters use the same ability, the graffiti is shown as a dull gray. This indicates that Ororon’s Elemental Sight may be key to solving some puzzles involving the graffiti in Genshin Impact.

The footage also shows Chasca, a Natlan character, using her Elemental Sight, and the graffiti remains gray-colored.

Leaks About The Iktomisaur Saurian Give Ororon’s Unique Ability More Credibility

The way the graffiti is highlighted in the leaked footage seems to match the description of the abilities of one of the new Saurians in Version 5.2, called Iktomisaur. The bat-like Saurian is rumored to be capable of using their enhanced vision to identify and highlight graffiti in Natlan, as well as interact with special Phlogiston Engravings. This leaked new Saurian type in Genshin Impact 5.2 seems to share more similarities with Ororon beyond its keen eye for graffiti in Natlan, however.

The leaked description of the Iktomisaur mentions that the Saurian is capable of leaping high into the air and then gliding for a short period, much like Ororon does once he enters his Nightsoul’s Blessing state. As such, Ororon may be the playable character equivalent to the Iktomisaur Saurian, much like Kachina is to the Tepetlisaur and Mualani is to the Koholasaur, for example.

For now, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. The details provided about Ororon’s unique Elemental sight may be incorrect, incomplete, or subject to change before the character’s release.
