Finding the right Connections in today’s puzzle may be a bit tricky due to the similarity of words throughout each category. There are a lot of interrelated words and words with double meanings, so a few hints to light your way will not go amiss. With the right categories in mind, you can solve the puzzle and feel confident about your winning streak.
Getting your Connections streak is one thing, but keeping your Wordle history positive might be a bit harder at times. There is a lot more logic to think through and many, many words to keep track of. However, with the right logic you can understand where the letters go and what to keep in mind as you go. This category is an easy one to guess, but a hard one to narrow down. In addition to the words here, HOOK, BOLT, and ROD could all technically fit in here, with HOOK and BOLT being the most frustrating. However, knowing the categories makes it much more manageable than it was for us, as BOLT would easily go with Lightning and HOOK makes the most sense in the next category.

This category is easier once the four previously established words are gone and you can eliminate them from your guesses. And, once those words are gone, it is more obvious that the rest of the words, even if they are unclear, do not fit in with these ones in this context. Even if you do not know much about fishing, there is a phrase, “HOOK, LINE, and SINKER” that might clue you in and you just have to determine the fourth word.

WASHER and DRYER not going together was a bit sad, as it reminded me of the apartment that had them in separate rooms so you had to open and close doors to do your laundry. However, that being said DRYER, MIRROR, and SINK all felt like bathroom-adjacent words, and with nothing else to really go off of we tested CHAIR and luckily it was correct.

Lightning-in-a-bottle is hard to achieve, and they have captured a fair number of lightning-related words here. Lightning BOLT and STRIKE are very nearly the same thing, and a Lightning ROD exists to prevent either of those things from being devastating to nearby pedestrians who might have gone outside attempting to catch a Lightning BUG.
