The stock market also has a few half-day holidays during the year. Those days are Black Friday, July 3rd or 5th (depending on where July 4th falls), and Christmas Eve, again, depending on what day of the week Christmas falls on in a given year.
On half-day holidays, the stock market is open from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
