Married At First Sight season 15 alum Krysten Collins has been making some big moves in her life since the show ended. Krysten made her reality TV debut as one of the five women looking to find their forever partner on Married At First Sight season 15. Krysten, who at the time worked as a sales representative for a software company, looked to have gotten her wish when she was matched with 41-year-old Mitch Silverstein, a surfer and dedicated environmentalist. However, things didn’t quite go as well as Krysten might’ve hoped.

Mitch had probably hoped to be matched with a stunning beauty queen, and by his standards, Krysten didn’t quite fit into that category. Mitch’s disappointment with Krysten’s looks set the tone for their marriage, which ended in disappointment similar to all the other marriages during the season. Married At First Sight season 15, filmed in San Diego, California, finished with a 0% success rate, similar to many other seasons of the series. However, unlike some stars who applied to MAFS for fame, Krysten was dedicated to her marriage despite the hurdles. Here’s an update about her life.

Krysten & Mitch’s MAFS Season 15 Journey

Krysten Wasn’t Who Mitch Wanted

From the moment Krysten and Mitch said their “I Do’s” on the Married At First Sight season 15 altar, it was evident that their relationship would need a lot of work to succeed. The energy between Krysten and Mitch didn’t exactly match, and by the time Mitch called his new wife during their honeymoon to reveal that he didn’t feel physically attracted to her, the chances of them staying together on decision day went from “unlikely” to “definitely not.” Still, Krysten and Mitch decided to keep their vows and try to work on their differences.

Despite Krysten and Mitch’s optimism, the couple spent most of their time together before decision day, dealing with several issues. Besides constantly reminding Krysten how unattracted he felt towards her, like telling her to stop wearing makeup, Mitch also went to a work conference ringless, explaining he wasn’t ready for the whole company to know he was married. With decision day on the horizon, Mitch is shown telling his brother he isn’t in love with Krysten. Throughout their relationship, it was clear Krysten looked more dedicated than Mitch, and it wasn’t surprising when the pair both said “no during decision day.

Krysten Has Close Friendships With The Season 15 Ladies

Krysten, Alexis, Staci, and Lindy are BFFs

Although Krysten’s hopes of finding a lifelong partner on Married At First Sight didn’t come to fruition, she built close friendships with some of her female co-stars. Krysten and Alexis Williams grew particularly close during the season, with Krysten regularly posting about their friendship on her Instagram. In one of her posts, Krysten uploaded a picture of them with the caption, “This is your sign to go on a reality TV show just for a chance to meet “your” Alexis & all the other beautiful MAFS souls along the way.

Unlike Krysten, Alexis said “yes” on decision day to continue her marriage to Jason Hall. Sadly, the couple broke up the following day. Meanwhile, since MAFS ended, Krysten has also been spotted stepping out with the trio of Alexis, Lindy Elloway, and Stacia Karcher. During one of their lunch dates, the trio posted a comical video of themselves eating with the caption, “The first one to talk $h!t about their ex-husband has to pay the bill,” a call back to their time on MAFS. Stacia and Lindy both said yes on decision day but have since divorced their partners.

Krysten Lives In New York Now

Krysten Made a Move to the Big Apple

After the disappointment Krysten experienced in Married At Sight season 15, she needed some time to heal the scars of losing her marriage. One of the significant moves Krysten made was to relocate from San Diego to New York City. In June 2023, Krysten announced the special news on her Instagram, posting pictures of her new apartment with the caption, “Start spreading the news.” One of the pictures featured Krysten holding the keys to her new place, smiling, while another featured her two little dogs as they got acclimatized to their new environment.

Krysten seems to have found more luck on the dating scene, teasing fans about a new romance via her Instagram story.

Krysten’s move to the bustling city signifies a new chapter in her life, away from the MAFS spotlight. Krysten has also been hanging out with her family and friends a lot while doing some light traveling. Krysten has taken trips to London, where she hung out with MAFS season 15 co-star Binh Trinh. She also visited Paris, which is about 1 hour and 30 minutes by airplane from the U.K. Krysten has never hidden her outgoing personality, and it’s good to see her spreading her wings beyond the shores of San Diego.

Are Krysten & Mitch Still Friends?

Krysten and Mitch Are Not Friends

Despite the hurdles Krysten and Mitch faced in their relationship, the pair still managed to end the show on amicable terms and even spoke well of each other on decision day. However, since Married At First Sight season 15 ended, there has been no indication that Mitch and Krysten have kept in contact with each other. While Krysten expressed optimism on decision day that the pair could connect more in the real world, which might lead somewhere, Mitch wasn’t as optimistic, shutting down any idea that he would open to such a development.

Nonetheless, Krysten seems to have found more luck on the dating scene, teasing fans about a new romance via her Instagram story. In May 2024, Krysten thanked her Married At First Sight fans for their unwavering support before writing, “Luna and I are doing wonderfully, and YES, we are seeing someone” (via Monsters and Critics). Although Krysten didn’t go into details about who she was seeing or the potential mate for her dog Luna, she did promise to update fans “if things continue.” After the disappointment of MAFS season 15, hopefully, Krysten will eventually find her perfect match.
