Now that Agatha All Along revealed Billy Maximoff’s return, the lingering question is: where is Tommy Maximoff? The twin sons of Vision and the Scarlet Witch were first introduced in WandaVision as constructs within Wanda Maximoff’s false reality. Unfortunately, Wanda had to sacrifice the boys to undo the havoc she wreaked upon the citizens of Westview. She then attempted to reunite with Billy and Tommy through multiversal means using dark magic, committing multiple heinous acts in the process. The Scarlet Witch then recognized the error of her ways and sacrificed herself to destroy the Darkhold.

Where Is Scarlet Witch’s Other Son, Tommy Maximoff?
Agatha All Along has confirmed the return of Billy Maximoff, but the Scarlet Witch’s other son, speedster Tommy, is yet to return to the MCU.
Since then, Agatha All Along reintroduced Billy into the MCU. What’s more, the series also gave Billy’s motive: to find Tommy. Given the recasting of Billy with 21-year-old Joe Locke, the other Maximoff twin will likely also be recast. Billy is 16, yet played by a 20-something. When looking at actors to play an older Tommy, it makes sense to consider those in the 18 to 21 age range in order to match Billy. Thankfully, there are a lot of talented actors within that demographic who’d be well-suited to play Tommy in the MCU.
1 Finn Wolfhard
Known For: Stranger Things, It, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, And More
Finn Wolfhard is perhaps one of the best-known actors of his generation. He rose to fame after starring as Mike Wheeler in the Netflix hit, Stranger Things. Thereafter, Wolfhard has largely performed in horror or otherwise spooky films such as It and Ghostbusters: Afterlife, as well as their sequels. His interest in these kinds of projects earned him the distinction of “Scream King,” meaning an actor who primarily acts in horror projects such as Daniel Kaluuya, Robert Englund, and Bruce Campbell.
Even so, his roles are often more lighthearted and comedic, especially It’s Richie Tozier. His onscreen presence lends itself to a franchise like the MCU. Moreover, with Stranger Things ending soon, the actor might just be free for another long-term role. Wolfhard’s age, appearance, and talent would make him a natural fit to play Tommy Maximoff in the MCU.
2 Jaeden Martell
Known For: It, Knives Out, Arcadian, Y2K, And More
Another It alum, Jaeden Martell is another promising young talent in Hollywood. Aside from his lead role opposite Pennywise, the actor has costarred with Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, Nicolas Cage, the late Donald Sutherland, and more big names throughout his career. His debut film was St. Vincent, which also featured Melissa McCarthy, Naomi Watts, and Bill Murray. Since then, Martell’s professional credits include both It films, Knives Out, Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, Defending Jacob, Metal Lords, Arcadian, and Y2K, among others.
Martell has a more than impressive resume, and he would be an asset to the MCU. He’s acted in multiple genres, so the varying tones within the franchise would be easy for him to navigate. He’s also the same age as Joe Locke, making him an excellent choice to portray Tommy Maximoff, whether in Agatha All Along or a subsequent MCU product.
3 Aidan Gallagher
Known For: The Umbrella Academy, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, And More
Though he’s already spent 4 seasons playing a superhero role, Aidan Gallagher is a top pick for both DC and Marvel. While he’s among the most popular fan casts for Robin, the actor would also be a good choice to take on the role of Tommy Maximoff in the MCU. Playing Five Hargreeves on The Umbrella Academy, Gallagher primarily filled the role of a sarcastic veteran, which is tonally very different from how Tommy is usually portrayed.
That being said, his background was in comedy, previously starring in Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn on Nickelodeon. The Umbrella Academy shows Gallagher’s range, and his prior role was rooted in comedy, meaning he might be well-suited to the lighthearted tone of the MCU.
4 Jacob Tremblay
Known For: Room, Wonder, Good Boys, And More
The youngest actor on this list, Jacob Tremblay is debatably the most well-regarded. He exploded onto the scene with his breakout film, Room, in which he starred opposite Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson. He’s a critically acclaimed actor, winning multiple awards for that movie role in 2015. Since then, he’s appeared in projects across several genres, including Wonder, Good Boys, Doctor Sleep, The Toxic Avenger, and Queen of Bones, among others.
Tremblay is also a prolific voice actor, having worked with Disney on multiple films such as Luca and The Little Mermaid. Making the leap over to Marvel Studios wouldn’t be a huge change for the actor. His career demonstrates range and a willingness to take on different kinds of projects. Tremblay would undoubtedly make a great Tommy Maximoff for any future Young Avengers adaptations.
5 Bryce Gheisar
Known For: Wonder, White Bird, And More
Though he’s lower profile than the other actors on this list so far, Bryce Gheisar is another potential Tommy Maximoff. The actor starred with Tremblay in Wonder. Gheisar returned for Wonder’s spinoff, White Bird, which also featured Gillian Anderson and Helen Mirren. While that is perhaps the role he is best known for, he is also featured in Clint Eastwood’s The 15:17 to Paris, a film that retells the true story of three Americans who thwarted a terrorist attack aboard a train from Amsterdam to Paris. He also made his directorial debut with The Noise in 2024.
Gheisar is a talented performer, and he could do well in the MCU if given the chance. His age could work for Tommy, and a superhero role could be a nice change of pace for the young actor.
6 Alex Garfin
Known For: Superman & Lois, The Peanuts Movie, And More
Alex Garfin currently stars in another superhero franchise entirely. Playing Jordan Kent/Superboy in the DC series Superman & Lois, the actor has 4 seasons’ worth of experience in the genre. Since he portrayed Superboy, he has even had direct experience filming stunts and fight scenes. Though he’s worked as a performer in The Peanuts Movie and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the actor is primarily known for the Superman series.
With Superman & Lois coming to its climactic end, Garfin will soon be moving on to new projects. One such production could be an MCU film or series. Garfin certainly has the experience necessary to play another super-powered hero, and he is the same age as Joe Locke. Portraying Tommy Maximoff could be a good next step for Garfin after the end of his current series.
7 Dylan Kingwell
Known For: A Series of Unfortunate Events, Superman & Lois, And More
Dylan Kingwell also appeared on Superman & Lois, albeit in a smaller role. The actor portrayed a younger Clark Kent for 3 episodes in 2021. He’s recurred in a lot of other series such as The Good Doctor, The Baby-Sitters Club, and The 100. Kingwell also played the dual parts of Duncan and Quigley Quagmire in Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, going from a guest star in the first season to a series regular in the latter two. Additionally, he currently stars as Sam Price in the Canadian series Ruby and the Well.
Kingwell could be a good match for Tommy Maximoff, given the variety of roles he’s played. Joining the MCU would be a major step for the actor’s career, especially if he plays the Scarlet Witch’s son and joins the Young Avengers.
8 Mace Coronel
Known For: That ’90s Show, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, And More
Mace Coronel’s first big lead role was actually opposite Gallagher in Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, where the two starred as brothers. Unlike Gallagher, Coronel left the series prior to its final season. Since then, he’s become known for his appearances on Zoe Valentine, Wireless, Borrasca, and more. In 2023, Coronel played Jay Kelso, a legacy character, in That ’90s Show. The son of Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart from That ’70s Show, Jay serves as both the heartbreaker love interest to series lead Leia Foreman and the comedic relief.
Though much of his work is in the realm of comedy, Coronel has a long filmography, starting from when he was just 7 years old. His experience as an actor would lend itself to a major franchise role, and that combined with his age makes him a good contender to play Tommy Maximoff.
9 Liam Woodrum
Known For: Geek Girl
Liam Woodrum is an up-and-coming actor. He is largely known for playing the role of Nick Park in Netflix’s 2024 series Geek Girl, which premiered to positive reviews. His charming character acts as a love interest for the geek-turned-model protagonist. Additionally, Woodrum is set to star in the horror movie 213 Bones, which is currently in post-production.
Woodrum is just starting out in his career, which might give him an edge. Though the MCU casts a lot of established talents like Robert Downey Jr., the franchise is no stranger to bringing in fresh faces. Casting a lesser-known actor could enable Tommy’s character to shine through instead of having a stunt casting overshadow him. Woodrum is roundabout the right age, and he could bring a charismatic presence to Agatha All Along or future MCU series as Tommy Maximoff.
10 Harry Collett
Known For: House of the Dragon, Casualty, And More
Harry Collett has a lot of acting experience under his belt. He started his career on the West End in shows like Billy Elliot the Musical, Matilda The Musical, and Elf. Collett started his screen career with bit parts on television and in musicals. His first major television role was as Oliver Hide on Casualty, and he appeared in 23 episodes. Collett also appeared in the films Dunkirk and Dolittle, among others.
Since 2022, Collett has starred as Jacaerys Velaryon on HBO’s House of the Dragon. The oldest son of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, he is heir to her throne and a dragon rider. Collett is a fan-favorite on House of the Dragon, and his introduction into the MCU could attract the show’s fanbase to any projects he stars in. With all signs pointing to Tommy’s return in Agatha All Along, whoever they cast, be it Collett or someone else entirely, will likely be a substantial presence in the MCU moving forward.
