Brooke Shields Sells Charming Rustic-Chic L.A. House for $7.4M (Photos)

After 25 years of enjoying the sprawling canyon views of her Pacific Palisades abode, Brooke Shields parted ways with her longtime home.

The Blue Lagoon actress sold the secluded 5-bedroom house for $7,400,000 after bringing it to market in the first half of 2021 for $8.2 million.

The property was listed with Jade Mills and Albert Sousa of Coldwell Banker Realty, while Cody Garcia of The Agency repped the buyer — who Dirt.com identified as actor Sam Page.

Page is best known for his role as Trey Kenyon on the daytime soap opera All My Children, and his recurring appearances on shows like Gossip Girl, 7th Heaven, The Bold Type, House of Cards, and Desperate Housewives.

Brooke Shields made a nice profit from the sale, as she paid $3.25 million for the 5,000+ sq. ft. home back in 1997. At the time, the actress — who most recently graced our screens in the Netflix hit A Castle for Christmas — was still married to former tennis player Andre Agassi.

While Shields held on to her rustic chic Los Angeles pad for 25 years, she didn’t live here — especially in recent years.

Property history shows that the Pacific Palisades celebrity pad has been repeatedly listed as a rental, with records showing that the secluded retreat was first offered for rent in 2015 for $30,000/mo.

A 2016 price adjustment brought the rental rates down to $24,995/month.

And apparently, the home’s tenants were just as famous as its owner.

According to People.com, many celebrities have rented the house throughout the years, including former A-list couple Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, who lived here while their own home (nearby) was being renovated (they later sold that one to Adam Levine, you can read all about it here).

Other sources reported that actor Matt Damon, singer/songwriter Randy Newman, and hit filmmaker J.J. Abrams have also lived here over the years.

If you’re wondering what made this Pacific Palisades retreat so popular among celebrities, here’s a rundown of its most notable features:

The actress’ decision to part ways with her Los Angeles home doesn’t come as a big surprise.

Brooke Shields has long been living on the East Coast with husband Chris Henchy, an American screenwriter and producer best known for his long-lasting collaboration with funny guy Will Ferrell. The couple is often spotted on the streets of New York.

Shields and her family live in a charming four-story Greenwich Village townhouse built around 1910, which she carefully appointed with the help of decorator David Flint Wood. She gave Architectural Digest a tour of her luxurious New York house in 2017.

But the actress has admitted that she will miss her cozy, rustic retreat. She took to Instagram to say goodbye to her longtime home:

“We’ve been packing up my LA home and I’ve been taking the time to say goodbye to the nooks and details I’ll miss the most…including this swing spot where we hung this mosaic by @jogartin from our wedding,” Shields wrote on Instagram on Feb. 6, next to a photo of herself lounging on the porch swing. “The art is coming with me, but the swing will have to stay #love”
