Four EASY Recipes My Family LOVE — Frugal Debt Free Life

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, finding quick and delicious recipes that satisfy the whole family can be a challenge. Whether you’re a seasoned home chef or just starting your culinary journey, the quest for easy yet delightful meals is a universal pursuit.

Today I am sharing four recipes that have become absolute favorites in my family.

Ingredients:

2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast

Taco Seasoning

Lime Juice

Olive Oil

Cheese

Flour Tortillas

Whatever else you put on tacos

Preheat your oven to 350

Cube your chicken and then sprinkle with taco seasoning (a buy mine in bulk but a packet size), a little bit of lime juice and enough olive oil to coat it. Stir.

Heat up a nonstick skillet on your stove top on high heat

Place your chicken in the skillet. DO NOT BEGIN TO STIR. Let it completely brown on one side. After it has browned on one side, stir. Sauté until it is cooked all the way through.

Place tortillas on a baking sheet.

Sprinkle cheese on your tortillas and add chicken. DO NOT FOLD.

Place everything in the oven and bake at 350 for about 3 minutes.

Take the baking sheet out and fold over your tortillas then place back in the oven for another 2 minutes

Do you remember these? McDonalds used to sell them. And one day, without warning they disappeared. This is my version. Yes, I feel silly sharing such a simple recipe. But whatever.

Ingredients:

Tortillas

Ranch (I just used sour cream and a ranch packet)

Crispy chicken tenders from the freezer section at the grocery store

Shredded lettuce

Cheese

Cook the tenders at 390 for 11 minutes. Then just put it all on the tortilla and eat it.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup flour

11/2 cup buttermilk

1 Tbsp baking powder

Salt

6 tbsp sugar

1 egg

3/4 cup oil

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Scoop out 1/4 cup and place in waffle iron.

I modified this recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction

Ingredients:

2 cups quick-cook oats

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/2 cup apple sauce

1 scoop protein powder (optional)

1 cup peanut butter

2 mashed bananas

1 egg

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Preheat your oven to 350.

In a bowl mash a banana and add your oats and maple syrup. Stir.

Next, add in your peanut butter and apple sauce, stir.

Next whisk one egg and add to your mixture, stir. Add in your chocolate chips.

I baked these for about 20 minutes.
