I have a feeling that Big Ed indulging in self-care was something that was attractive to Liz. She had reunited with him after their six-month-long breakup for the first time. However, this time, she had a boyfriend who was an upgrade and I don’t think any hours spent at the gym or any amount of weight loss could make Big Ed look like Jayson who he so badly keeps competing with. Liz likes Jayson not because of the way he looks. She feels he is someone who respects her and understands her like no one has.

I feel this is the worst thing Big Ed has done so far to get Liz’s attention. However, Big Ed doesn’t realize that he is just giving Liz more reasons to not get back together with him. I’m not keen on knowing what dirty trick he has up his sleeve for his next attention-seeking move.
