New online community offers support, strategy, and sisterhood for Black women navigating career transitions amid a rising unemployment rate and an increasingly unstable job market
Nationwide — Career Love LLC is proud to announce the official launch of the free Career Love Community, a new digital space designed to help Black women navigate today’s workplace instability, including recent layoffs, the rollback of DEI initiatives, and the reported loss of over 300,000 jobs by Black women.
Founded by Mercedes Swan, known as The Career Love Coach, the free community was created as a soft, affirming space where ambitious Black women can access resources, network, and gain real-time support as they navigate job loss, toxic work environments, and the growing number of exits from corporate spaces into entrepreneurship. The launch comes at a time when Black women are increasingly left unsupported in traditional workplaces and are seeking new ways to realign with purpose, reclaim their brilliance, and build careers they love.
“Black women are tired of surviving systems and spaces that weren’t built for us. We deserve more, and I am excited to build a safe community where Black women can come together to grow, plan, and take action together,” said Mercedes Swan, Career Coach, DEI Practitioner, and Founder of Career Love LLC. “This space is our way of offering hope, direction, and inspiration for a better future.”
The free community includes:
• Access to select live events and training
• Curated community circles to get career and business support
• Opportunities to upgrade to the full membership for deeper coaching, curriculum access, and mentorship
This launch expands Career Love LLC’s long-standing mission to help Black women find alignment, freedom, and abundance in their careers or businesses. Since its launch, the Career Love Community has already grown to over 290 members, a testament to the urgent need for culturally grounded, strategic support.
