Theo Croker has tapped IDK and Sector 202 for his new single, “My Friend,” a delicious slice of jazz-rap goodness — listen to it below.

Set to appear on Croker’s upcoming album Dream Manifest (Deluxe), the song showcases the Grammy-nominated producer’s deft trumpet skills as well as IDK’s introspective rhymes, dexterous flows and smooth singing voice.

“They put they foot on Ye‘s neck for the Yeezy / If I told the truth you wouldn’t believe me / I tried to tell the truth but you wouldn’t receive it / Because the media’s controlled by the ones that don’t need it, so deceiving,” the DMV native spits, before going on to tackle police brutality in powerful fashion.

“My Friend” is accompanied by a slick video directed by Slim, full of cinematic shots of IDK navigating the streets of Los Angeles and Croker working his magic on his trustee trumpet.

Theo Croker’s 12th full-length release, Dream Manifest (Deluxe) is set to arrive on October 24 via Dom Recs.

In addition to IDK and Sector 202, the album will feature collaborations with an eclectic cast of names such as Theophilus London, Nosajthing and anaïs, “deepen[ing] the record’s exploration of connection, chaos and creativity across genres,” according to a press release.

Croker’s original Dream Manifest was released in June and is now available for the first time on vinyl via Fat Beats. Copies are available here.
