What is Bank Nifty?
Bank Nifty or the Nifty Bank Index is a stock market index – it is basically a combination of the stock prices of 12 of the biggest banks in India, with each bank’s stock performance contributing to the index’s overall performance. The degree to which the stock performance of a bank influences the index performance is determined by the weight assigned to its stock in the index.
