50 Cent has revealed he has undergone a physical transformation to play Balrog in the new Street Fighter movie.
In a video on Instagram, 50 can be seen sporting a new haircut and taking part in a boxing workout to get in shape for the action heavy role.
50 captioned the post: “Work hard when they hardly working, and they will be surprised at the outcome. I hit a [ninja emoji] he gonna see a white light and hear Jesus say come to me child. LOL Street Fighter coming soon.”
50 Cent is already teasing returning for Street Fighter II, just days after he began filming on the first movie.
On Instagram, the rap legend what appears to be an unofficial photo of his character, Balrog.
He captioned the picture: “STREET FIGHTER the movie coming soon, then I’m a come with STREET FIGHTER II BALROG. All Roads lead to SHREVEPORT!”
50 and his co-stars only began filming the first movie earlier this month with the rapper and actor announcing that production had begun.
On his Instagram page, the rap legend posted a picture of the iconic video game series’ logo and wrote: “I haven’t been posting because I’m working on my new movie Street Fighter. I’m working what you doing ?”
In the latest adaptation of the game, 50 is playing Balrog while the rest of the ensemble is made up of Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, David Dastmalchian and Orville Peck.
The film will also feature WWE superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
In the two previous adaptations of the fighting game, Balrog was played by Grand L. Bush and Michael Clarke Duncan.
Street Fighter is directed by Kitao Sakurai and is currently expected to be released sometime in 2026.
Starring in Street Fighter will be one of 50’s biggest roles in years after appearing in The Expendables 4 in 2023 alongside Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone.
Last year, he had a lead role in straight-to-on-demand thriller Boneyard which also featured Mel Gibson.
Some of 50’s most notable screen roles include his semi-autobiographical debut Get Rich or Die Tryin’, Righteous Kill alongside Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, the action series Escape Plan and boxing drama Southpaw.
