50 Cent Shares Unseen Diddy Footage From Netflix Documentary: “[It] Shows You His Character”

Never-before-seen footage of Diddy in the days leading up to his arrest has surfaced ahead of 50 Cent and Netflix’s docuseries on the disgraced mogul.

The first teaser for Sean Combs: The Reckoning</em> was released on Monday (December 1), showing Diddy on a desperate phone call in a New York City hotel room just days before his September 2024 arrest on racketeering and sex charges.

“We have to find somebody that’ll work with us, that has dealt in the dirtiest of dirty business … We’re losing!” Puffy, who at the time was battling a wave of sexual assault lawsuits, says to his lawyers over the phone.

Additional never-before-seen footage from the four-part docuseries was also broadcast by Good Morning America, including a clip of Diddy greeting fans in his native Harlem shortly before he was indicted.

While being driven away, the Bad Boy boss says to his entourage: “I need some hand sanitizer! I’ve been down the streets amongst the people. The amount of people that I’m coming into contact with, that’s what I have to do [laughs]. It’s like a 150 hugs!”

Sharing his reaction to the clip with Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts, 50 Cent said: “That shows you his character … That’s one of the moments where he forgot he was on tape.”

The G-Unit general, who executive produced Sean Combs: The Reckoning, also rejected the notion that the docuseries was distorted by his long-running rivalry with Diddy.

“What they consider a pre-existing beef for 20 years is me being uncomfortable with him suggesting that he takes me shopping. I looked at like he was [testing me]. Like, ‘Maybe you’ll come play with me.’ It’s not personal,” he said.

He added: “If I didn’t say anything, you would interpret it as: hip-hop is fine with his behavior.”

50, who has relentlessly trolled Diddy since he was first sued by ex-girlfriend Cassie two years ago, also got in a few more jabs on Puffy during the interview.

When asked how he thinks the incarcerated mogul would react to the documentary, he answered with a smirk: “I think he’s gonna say, ‘This is the best documentary I’ve seen in a long time.’ He knows it’s the truth.”

Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, Sean Combs: The Reckoning is “a staggering examination of the media mogul, music legend and convicted offender” that “tells the story of a powerful, enterprising man and the gilded empire he built — and the underworld that lay just beneath its surface.”

All four episodes premiere on Tuesday (December 2) on Netflix.
