You’ll also see them on a “full page of charts” page:

And they appear on the “basic chart” tab on a stock’s main page:

These new charts are built on TradingView’s Lightweight Charts, the same underlying technology family as the full-blown TradingView widget you already use on our main stock pages. So you get a familiar look and feel, but tuned for speed and clarity in scan, list, and hover contexts. The biggest change from the old “basic” charts is the interactivity. You’ll notice that the charts now have a tooltip which shows the prices for the day your cursor is hovering over. You can also zoom in and out and scroll the chart.
What Changed
- Always preloads up to 600 days of historical data for smooth zooming and panning.
- Initial view respects your preferred Number of Days setting (e.g. 30, 60, 120) while keeping extended history instantly accessible.
- Consistent (albeit limited) behavior with the main TradingView widget.
- Compared to the previous static charts, the new views are interactive.
- Rich hover tooltip: A crosshair hover shows OHLC, volume, day change (absolute and percent), and active overlays.
- Dedicated volume pane: Volume is rendered in its own pane to keep the price action clean and readable.
Report Problems / Share Ideas
These new charts are a big step forward for us, and they will keep evolving. I’m still tweaking some things as I use the site more and notice little things. If you run into any issues, glitches, or confusing behaviors, or if you have suggestions for improving the charts, please send them my way so we can keep refining the experience.
