Jaylen Brown, the newest member of the Philadelphia 76ers, had something to say about his rating in NBA 2K27; spoiler alert: he wasn’t happy.
During NBA 2K Community Day, the former Boston Celtic, now with the Sixers, Jaylen Brown, conducted a bunch of interviews throughout the day.
Speaking with Bleacher Report, Brown was given a sheet of paper with a hidden player’s ratings, and he accurately guessed it was him they were talking about.
Brown, who is coming off a season where he could have won league MVP, was not feeling his overall rating along with his stats regarding his midrange game.
“I mean, mid-range kind of gives it away. I would say this is me, but the mid-range is probably a little low. I’m a mid-range spammer. I feel offended,” he told the Bleacher Report social media person adding, “My passing should’ve been a lot better.”
When the person off-camera mentioned his overall rating, he said, “93 last year. So how did I go down?” which is two points down, as he is currently sitting at a 91.
So what got him to a 91? According to NBA 2K27’s rating system, Brown is a 94 for driving dunk and a 90 for mid-range shooting. According to the annual basketball video game, he also got an 86 for ball handling and 85 for athleticism.
Brown, known for making things happen on both ends of the court, was shockingly given a 79 for playmaking and a 74 for defense.
But if Brown wants to hang his hat on anything, he is a part of one of the best backcourts in NBA 2K27, and the Sixers are easily one of the top 5 teams in the game thanks to having 4 players in the 90s.

Stephon Castle Also Reacted To His NBA 2K27 Rating
One player not too upset about his ranking was San Antonio Spurs’ Stephon Castle, a solid 87 in NBA 2K27.
HHW Gaming’s Bernard “Beanz” Smalls spoke with Castle about his rating, and where he feels he can improve to get his rating up because the team at 2K does adjust ratings as players ball out throughout the season.
