Zendaya and Law Roach are continuing their homage to Halle Berry as the Spider-Man actress’ pixie cut era commences.
Halle’s many iconic fashion moments always have the girls ready to post up on Halloween, but few are doing it like Law and Zendaya. Fresh off of debuting her pixie at the Emmys in a custom Prada gown that felt like a nod to Berry’s Hollywood glamour, the dynamic fashion duo dusted off Halle’s Fall 2000 Lanvin look for the Spooky season. The bikini top paired with low cut trousers and tinted sunnies was an exact replica of the Oscar-winner’s look. Vintage and custom.
Law even paid tribute to Halle’s original style architect, Phillip Bloch, in the comments after the stylist pointed out that he’d hand sewn the diamond straps and closures that made Halle’s original outfit pop.
“Hey @luxurylaw let’s not forget the original architect @phillipbloch Come on now and you left out the diamond chains that I used to create the closures for the bikini top i made from the hem of the pants,” Phillip said in the comments. “God is in the details. You know that my friend love you papi Great. Look, thank you for always inspiring with vintage looks.”
Law was humble and kind in his response, despite his reputation for shade and frost, saying,
“please know you could never be forgotten!!! Trust me I asked Halle did she have the top!!! The pants were lent from the Lanvain archive.”
Lovely to see the OGs and the students paying proper respect to one another. Halle entered the comments with heart emojis amid a contentious and public battle with her ex-partner Olivier Martinez over their teenaged son. She likely appreciated the love the two choose to show her in spite of that.
