Diddy Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison

Diddy has been sentenced to just over four years in prison on charges of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The Bad Boy Records founder (real name Sean Combs) was also handed a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release by Judge Arun Subramanian at a sentencing hearing in New York on Friday (October 3), according to CNN.

“A substantial sentence must be given to send a message to abusers and victims alike that abuse against women is met with real accountability,” the judge said while announcing his decision.

Diddy, 55, faced up to 11 years and three months behind bars and had requested a maximum sentence of 14 months, which would have effectively seen him released on time served.

The hip-hop mogul addressed the court prior to learning his fate, apologizing to his victims — including ex-girlfriend Cassie — and claiming that he had gotten “lost in excess” and his “ego.”

However, the judge rejected Puffy’s lawyers’ “attempt to characterizes the ‘Freak Offs’ and hotel nights as intimate consensual experiences or just a ‘sex drugs and rock ‘n’ roll’ story.”

“A history of good works can not erase the power and control you had over the women you professed to love dearly,” Subramanian told Diddy. “You abused them physically, emotionally and psychologically and you used that to get your way.”

Diddy was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution this past July, although he was acquitted on the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

He was arrested in September 2024 following Homeland Security raids on his two properties in Los Angeles, New York and Miami.
