Ice Spice and Latto have officially squashed their feud by collaborating on new single “Gyatt”.
The two spent the beginning of last year throwing shots at each other but have now swapped real life shots for pretend ones as the song’s music video sees them duke it out in a wrestling ring – a clear nod to their past rivalry.
The duo spend much of the song rapping about how men love them.
Spice spits: “N-ggas be so damn thirsty, tryna jump head first into this fountain.”
It is not clear what had led to the two female MC’s patching things up and getting to the point where they could collaborate.
Latto last took a shot at her contemporary a year ago with the release of her album Sugar Honey Iced Tea.
On “S/O to Me”, Latto rapped: “Bye sis, funny thing about it, you can’t look me in my eye, sis,” which is a play on Ice Spice’s real first name, Isis.
The second verse hears her spit: “Shoutout to myself/ Who the hardest out? Bitch, it’s Latto by herself/ Ice is just water when it melts/ Wipe you down, I got plenty towels on the shelf.”
Back in February 2024, Ice Spice took aim at Latto on her song “Think U the Shit (Fart)” where she rapped: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up.”
In turn, Latto struck back at Ice Spice on “Sunday Service” when she rapped: “Think I’m the shit, bitch, I know it, ho/ Jesus walked on water, I got ice boilin’ though.”
Latto later appeared to downplay that she was involved in a rap battle with Ice Spice.
She said: “If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like I’ma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’”
