SwingTradeBot has always focused on helping you spot important technical events as they happen. Last week I released an upgrade to one of my most used parts of the site: intraday alerts are now repeatable for select alert types.
What Does “Repeatable Alerts” Mean?
Previously, each intraday alert would only trigger once per stock per day — even if the event happened again later in the session. But we all know the market doesn’t stop moving after one breakout or reversal. Now, for certain types of alerts, SwingTradeBot will notify you again when the condition recurs, giving you multiple opportunities to take action.
📈 Starting With: New High / New Low of Day Alerts
To kick things off I’ve added two brand new alert types, which are also repeatable:
If a stock continues to push higher (or lower) after triggering one of these alerts, you’ll now see follow-up alerts throughout the day — not just the first breakout. Note that these two alerts will only fire if the stock has broken its first hour trading range.
These repeated alerts are spaced out using an intelligent cooldown window, so you won’t be spammed every time a stock ticks up a cent. You’ll only see another alert when it breaks meaningfully past its previous high or low.
⏳ What’s Coming Next?
This is just the beginning. Soon, I’ll be rolling out repeatable versions of other popular alerts, including:
- VWAP Crosses & Reclaims: Spot intraday trend shifts as stocks reclaim VWAP after dropping below it (or vice versa).
- (Daily) Moving Average Crosses: For example, currently if a stock rises above it 10 DMA and then falls below it and then crosses above later in the day an alert will not fire for the second cross above. With the repeatable alerts SwingTradeBot will create that second crossed above alert.
- Volume Spike Levels: Get notified when volume surges to 2x, 5x, or even 10x the average pace.
- Reversals (Reversed from Down / Reversed from Up): Identify when a stock goes from red to green (or green to red) with context-sensitive alerts.
🧠 Why It Matters
These enhancements will help you:
- Stay on top of persistent momentum
- Re-engage with setups that continue to develop
- Avoid missing out just because the first alert already fired earlier in the day
Try It Out
You’ll see repeatable New High/Low of Day alerts now on:
As always, I’d love to hear your feedback — and if there’s a particular alert type you’d like to see made repeatable next, let me know!
Stay tuned and happy trading!
