Keyshia Cole and Skrilla may have called it quits, at least according to the singer’s latest Instagram post. The “Love” singer told followers she is newly single and focused on her next chapter, leaving fans to wonder whether her romance with the Philadelphia rapper is officially over.

According to TheShadeRoom, Cole reposted a message that read, “it’s peaceful when you’re not interested in anyone anymore,” and added her own caption. “Currently cooking up the greatest rebrand of my life rn. Single. Happy. Focused,” she wrote.
She did not name Skrilla in the post, and as of now neither she nor the rapper has publicly addressed whether it refers to their relationship. Some fans took it as a clear breakup announcement, while others said they would need to see it to believe it.
How Keyshia Cole And Skrilla’s Romance Played Out Publicly
The pair first sparked dating rumors in July, when LiveBitez shared photos of them looking cozy at what appeared to be a nightclub. In August, Skrilla added fuel by posting a photo of Cole smiling during what looked like a nightcap on his Instagram Story. Then Cole herself got the timeline buzzing when she shared a photo of Skrilla’s back showing a tattoo of her name. “Let that be known,” she wrote alongside the image.
Skrilla, 27, is from Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood, which he often refers to as “Zombieland.” He rose to widespread prominence with his 2025 single “Doot Doot (6 7),” a track that helped popularize the viral “6-7” trend. His gritty depictions of his upbringing have become central to his music.
The new single announcement post arrives right after a stretch in which fans were openly talking about Cole for other reasons. BOSSIP reported that concern grew online after viral videos showed her appearing to struggle through some recent performances. On October 24th, Cole performed at Majic Under the Stars at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, on a bill headlined by Babyface. During her rendition of her 2007 hit “Heaven Sent,” a clip shows her encouraging the crowd to sing along as the track played instead of delivering the vocals herself.
“Can’t hear y’all,” Cole told the audience. “I picked this out again. It’s my birthday, sing with me.” The moment came just over a week after she celebrated her 45th birthday on October 15th. As the crowd kept singing, she added, “Y’all know I be singing, but come on.”
That clip circulated around the same time as video from her performance at Texas Southern University’s homecoming, where she appeared to have a hard time dueting with singer Joe. That show took place at Houston’s Bar 5015, where she was also spotted walking in with the venue’s owners.
Some fans said they were worried about Cole’s well-being after seeing the videos, and the conversation overlapped with the attention on her romance.
Cole has not publicly addressed the criticism or the concern. However, her message is clear: she is writing her own next chapter, and she plans to step into it single, happy, and focused.
