Rapper Lucki, known for underground rap classics such as “New Drank” and “Sunset,” was reportedly injured during a fight outside ComplexCon in Los Angeles, according to videos circulating on social media and reports from TMZ and PEOPLE. Lucki, who was once friends with Playboi Carti, was reportedly struck in the face during the altercation and suffered a laceration.
Lucki’s fight: What happened?
Law enforcement officials told TMZ on Oct. 4 that the incident happened on the street outside the conference on Oct. 3. According to the outlet, Lucki was taking photos with fans when a suspect allegedly struck him in the face, causing a laceration. It remains unclear what sparked the fight.
The altercation quickly escalated, with another person reportedly stabbed during the brawl. The Los Angeles Police Department later located two additional people who had been injured.
Several videos of the intense fight have been surfacing online.
Videos posted online showed the chaotic scene as witnesses and bystanders were told to move away from the area. A video shared by social media user @2TrimJustin on X on Oct. 4 appears to show Lucki, whose real name is Lucki Camel Jr., 30, involved in an intense fight on Saturday, surrounded by a large group of people. As the fight intensified, a bystander watching the brawl could be heard saying:
“I think somebody just got stabbed.”
Playboi Carti, whose real name is Jordan Terrell Carter, also appeared to be watching the fight from a nearby car, according to reports. It is unclear whether Carti was involved in the altercation.
Another video shared on X by Daily Loud shows Lucki being helped into the backseat of a car with what appears to be a bloody injury on his neck.
The Los Angeles Police Department provided additional details about the incident in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. Police said officers responded to reports of a fight near the convention at approximately 4:45 p.m. local time.
According to police, the fight was still happening when officers arrived, but the group “quickly dispersed.” Officers then found four people with injuries “consistent with stab wounds or lacerations.” Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene to assist the injured.
Two of the victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. “Both sustained injuries that appeared to be the result of a knife attack,” police said.
A third victim went to a local hospital on their own and was treated for a “severe laceration believed to have been sustained during the altercation.”
The fourth victim suffered a laceration to his elbow but declined medical treatment at the scene.
“It is unknown whether he later sought medical treatment or was transported to a hospital,” police said.
ComplexCon told PEOPLE that the incident took place “on the public street outside the event” and that they are working with authorities to find out what led up to the incident.
“The safety and security of our guests, talent, partners and staff is our highest priority. We are aware of an incident that occurred outside the ComplexCon event yesterday and our security team and the LAPD responded immediately. We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and remain focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone attending ComplexCon,” the statement continued.
Lucki has since released a statement. Found out how he responded after the flip!
Lucki offered an update to fans on Oct. 5.
Two days after the fight, Lucki appeared to return to Instagram on Oct. 5, giving fans an update on his condition with a video shared to his Instagram Stories. Three large white band-aids could be seen lining the rapper’s neck. He appeared to be in good spirits while urging the LAPD to return his car.
“Look at ya baby,” he told fans, showing off the bandaids on his neck. “Ay though, LAPD can I please get my car back?” he then asked. “I don’t know what happened. I have no clue what happened. It was just a lot going on. But I got $100,000 in the car… can I please get my car back?”
Before the fight, Lucki said he was “proud” of Playboi Carti during an interview in May 2026.
Interestingly, during a May 12 interview with Our Generation Music, Lucki said he felt “proud” of Playboi Carti when the rapper dropped I AM MUSIC, his third studio album, in 2025. He noted that even if he wasn’t really “f–king” with the rapper, he still had respect for his career and craft.
“Say if I wasn’t even f—king with him or really caring for him, I Am Music made me proud of him,” the rapper shared, while adding that he respected Carti’s “superstar” too much to disrespect him.
“I’m a fan, I’m always going to show love to him,” Lucki added.
While it remains unclear whether the incident was connected to the history between Lucki and Carti, the two rappers have had a complicated relationship in recent years. Here’s what we know.
