DDG is keeping the momentum going after his second annual HIT-A-THON, dropping the album he created alongside some of Atlanta’s biggest names.
The streamer-turned-rapper hosted his second HIT-A-THON stream, bringing out some of the city’s best artists to lay down verses during the livestream. Legends like T.I., Travis Porter, and Rich Kidz pulled up to the stream, while some of Atlanta’s newer stars, including YK Niece, Pluto, Bankroll Ni, Ian, and many more, joined in.
While T.I. didn’t lay down a verse, he still pulled up to give DDG some game during the stream.
With a quick turnaround, DDG turned the moments from HIT-A-THON into a full album featuring the artists who joined him during the event.
Before dropping the project, the streamer-turned-rapper sat down with Hot 107.9’s MiAsia Symone and revealed that, if he had to choose, he’d take rapping over streaming any day.
“I’d rather rap over streaming. I make more money doing the content obviously, with music it’s like it takes time. It’s a lot of business that goes into it but I know when you get to that point, like any career you can make a lot of money. With the streaming sh*t I been doing this over 10 years, I do this in my sleep. With music, I have dreams at night about this sh*t.”
