Red Bull’s latest episode of 64 Bars features Florida rapper Denzel Curry alongside West Coast producer Hit-Boy.
This isn’t Curry’s first time in the Red Bull studios. He previously appeared in a cypher alongside TiasCorine and Key Nyata while promoting their cypher album. This time, however, he’s back for a solo performance.
During a behind-the-scenes interview with Hip-Hop Wired at the 64 Bars taping, Curry discussed returning to the platform.
“We came back, we had to do the repeat. The last time I came here I was with Tia and Key Nyata, we were promoting the cypher album. So they was like, ‘Man can you come back?’ I was like, why not.”
Hit-Boy handles production for the latest freestyle, bringing his signature sound to Curry’s performance. The Grammy-winning producer has contributed to some of Hip-Hop biggest records, including “N*ggas in Paris,” “SICKO MODE,” and “Trophies.”
Ahead of the taping, Hit-Boy also spoke with Hip-Hop Wired about his extensive production catalog and why he believes some of his work deserves more recognition.
“I make so much music I can really put a pin point on what may be underrated. I remember I seen Kanye do an interview and he was like, ‘Anything y’all seen successful from me is way under where I thought it would be.’ I feel the same.”
